I wouldn't be offering him that. Dolan needs a contract incentivised by goals and assists. Ability wise his basic wage should be £10,000 per week, £12,000 at a push max. Anything above that is ridiculous IMO and I'd let him go. A flurry at the end of the season doesn't make up for a year of frustration... he has work to do.

It's incredible people still take these links seriously. Any signing like this would need to involve different owners. -

Appears to be true. The Raya sell on was a £4m bonus last summer and had no impact on the budget or squad. Could have signed a top goalkeeper. Szmodics sale didn't impact the striker signing quality. Wharton hasn't even been fully replaced with a quality CM. Bonkers stuff. -

How is the Head of Football Operations not aware if the club has a sell on % in the Adam Wharton deal? That's a major influencer in transfers, future budget and generally.... just basic knowledge you'd expect anyone with transfer responsibility new or old within the club to be aware of.... on their first day. It doesn't matter if the deal happened before your time. Palace could sell him this summer. You're telling me he seriously hasn't asked this? A potential £10 - £15m future windfall for the club. There should have been no doubt. Absolute bunch of clowns... I'd say there isn't one. Gestede looked scared to say no. -

"The budget will remain the same" Is all I need to know. One of the lowest in the Championship. No ambition and no backing in the market is the conclusion. -

They didn't take the Tronstad injury seriously enough and cheaped out on Forshaw. A total nothing signing - not one a team in 4th should have ever looked at. Unless they simply weren't being backed at all.... An extremely predictable and costly decision. Incompetence in the boardroom and no cash from the owners derailed our season. -
Whatever they charge you?

Yep it's all nonsense. You also had high earners such as the likes of Bradley Johnson, Lewis Holtby and Tom Trybull as squad players. We are being fooled! -
It's a major own goal from the club. They're a commercial disaster. If you were in touch, you'd sack the lot.
-
Personally think the damage for next season is already done, they got it wrong and they've scared away thousands of current season ticket holders. They will have a shock when they come to look at the numbers mid May. Only it wouldn't shock anyone with half a brain..... It's not like they can lower the prices when a few hundred have already renewed. Complete and utter morons in the boardroom.
-
It was scary tonight the number of conversations going on around me about people not renewing. Loyal fans that would normally enjoy buying. Bearing in mind they are already the few that are still attending. Who will be left next season? The club hit so wide of the mark with their pricing and Suhail's untimely reminder during "the interview" that season ticket prices will continue to rise throughout the phases..... completely idiotic.

Least of our worries is player performances.... but can anyone explain to me why a goalkeeper would parry a fairly tame header behind himself and towards his own goal..... rather than away. Instinctively it has to be out and away... He is the least commanding goalkeeper I've seen I've seen at Ewood. I can't think of worse. The club MUST get rid of him and spend serious money on a commanding keeper. 800k here and there isn't going to cut it in this position. -

The problem with this is, if everyone did that, a club's leadership could get away with whatever they wanted and the fanbase would never be listened to. I just don't see how success occurs if the customers just clap every outcome and decision, on and off the field on a match day. The fans have to hold the club accountable and the club have to act with the fans in mind. -

Yep, the exact reason you wouldn't hire a manager with a totally different philosophy. Someone had better tell Suhail £4.5m won't fund a new team..... Clowns. -

It had clearly reached a point where they were unable to sell a good manager the club, the project, themselves or the owners who they likely hadn't heard from for 10 months... The answer to every question a manager would be interested in hearing was on the back burner. Budget New Contracts Club goals Club structure Meetings with the ownership Promotion Scouting Facilities I'd imagine even the salary involved was unclear. What I am certain about from the Bayes interview is that we have 3 people in charge who are incompetent and totally disingenuous. "Thanks for your time... I think I'll hold off and see what else is around". Even if that means Derby. Like John did. -

They won't sack him. Will never happen. The club would not ever consider paying the compensation involved, and no one at board level would admit making a mistake. -

You get what you pay for......... 300k for the pair. Bayes' interview was better but what I can't fathom is why no one asked "is £4.5m enough Suhail?" when that was stated as the budget as if it were something to be proud of. That's a £4.5m total budget across a summer and January transfer window and includes any loan fees etc. It means juggling approx £2.5 million in summer and £2m in winter and that transfer fees must be under that. It isn't enough to ensure you stay in the Championship and isn't enough after selling what we have sold. Bonkers. -

Wow... Hearing them discuss the January window 37 minutes in they are all over the place. Like our transfer business and contract renewals. No wonder Eustace wanted out. It's a total shambles. My big question was and still is, if there are no limitations for the owners providing funds then why are little to none being spent on permanent players? Bayes asked some great questions and some of them are the exact questions a manager like O'Neil would have asked..... you'd leave a job interview with multiple headaches. They are clearly being left to their own devices and consequently have no clear, approved and trustworthy vision. 🤯
