  1. We need an entire stadium united in protest, we've needed that for 15 years. Last season when the Waggott/ Venky out chants started I heard plenty of people in the ground question it "why are they doing that again?" .... If Eustace leaves the answer would be there for everyone to see. There would be no recovering from it IMO. IF it happens, next season shouldn't be about "staying in the league" as this season was....... (due to bad ownership).... it has to be about removing the owners and the board and for multiple seasons. It will happen, they can't hide forever.
  2. Really like Eustace as a manager but if he left he'd be doing us a favour in my opinion.
  3. Likely that our transfer windows are so uncertain and chaotic that we can't tell our players the plan beforehand or even during. That is Waggott and Venky's for you...
  4. A recurring theme is the more say Waggott has, the less planning there is for beyond the next 6 months. Although successful in parts, the transfer window lacked strategy in a number of ways... one being player registrations, another being positions signed and the length of contracts agreed. Central midfield needed money spending on it early, and all of the players signed should have had more minutes in their legs this season to be able to make an impact 3 weeks ago... but minutes cost money... something the owners have still not provided. Even though there are "no restrictions for funding the club" only one permanent signing was made and for a nominal fee. "Money can be spent freely if they provide a personal guarantee". Well then, I can only presume from the amount spent, they weren't willing to provide it again? It's the usual nonsense to keep the happy clappers busy for another 12 months until Steve retires. You won't see this lack of funding at many other clubs when in the position we find/ found ourselves in (bearing in mind we are willing to do the same when 2nd in the league), a bit of investment might have seen us sitting more comfortably in the playoffs... A small amount early on. We had sold the players to be able to do it. Consequently it's feeling more and more unlikely and teams that spent more are now set to leapfrog us. Contract renewals and any long term strategy, Waggott simply can't get right. Is that the CEO Rovers need to assure fans and maximise revenue? No. Either way it doesn't really matter since a good CEO would struggle to work with the current owners... they will always be the real problem. Venky's have had all of the chances you can have now, we've seen every scenario in my opinion that might have resulted in them financially backing a manager and go for promotion. They have no interest and never will. It's hard to get behind that as a player, an employee or fans and we'll see the effects of that in the coming seasons in my opinion until they go. The only restrictions in place are Venky's, it's been that way since 2010.
  5. We can all shoot at goal... beating the keeper from open play is another matter. His technique is hurried and lacks conviction. (Dolan). His efforts on goal look more like kid in the back garden stuff to me. I can't stand watching him at this level but it isn't his fault I've had to watch him so much over the past 4 years. It's due to a total lack of investment in his position. Hedges is crap too. Sadly they're both a huge reason why we've not made the playoffs in recent years... Nowhere near good enough.
  6. Hedges and Dolan need dropping from the team for a good few weeks.
  7. Really poor from Pears, he's hardly busy and when called upon is weak in many ways. The Twine free kick was ridiculous against Bristol, the shot tonight gets a good hand from a better keeper and the Preston goal was avoidable. His defenders expected him to save all 3, we're quickly heading towards the Pears of last year.... and we can't afford it.
  8. The message from the club is clear and in response they will lose hundreds more season ticket holders.
  9. Clearly there was no backing from India.
  10. Embarrassing state of affairs...... shame they didn't book John Fleck in for an 8pm medical last year. Time for Waggott to go.
  11. They've spent the equivalent of about 2000 season tickets.
  12. It's absolutely disgusting.
  13. A reporter doesn't need to ask where the players are, they simply need to ask where is the money, John? Look forward to Rudy Gestede's interview... Another scapegoat for Waggott and Suhail.
  14. As a fan I suspect Adam Wharton will be pissed off at how his money was spent... or wasn't
  15. There's also a big difference between getting in the playoffs and having what it takes to win them. We are simply miles off it, and it's largely a board mentality/ ownership issue. After today I'm pretty confident there will be no hiding for them, from even the happiest of clappers.
  16. Shaping up to be one of the worst windows in recent history given our league position, and revenue generated through player sales. 👍
  17. For anything significant to occur at Rovers it would need to be agreed now. As I said when Nixon broke the Egyptian "interest"... No chance. Not with these owners. He isn't here now and he won't be here on Tuesday. It's head in the cloud stuff.
  18. I’m posting in the transfer thread, about transfers. What’s the point in deflecting to something else? Clubs around us are putting Waggott and Rovers to shame, re transfers. A big problem with Rovers fans is repositioning real problems to soften the argument against our owners. Other clubs are putting Rovers to shame. Including Plymouth.
  19. The teams around Rovers are putting Waggott and the club to shame.
  20. No chance. If this is the player we’re “chasing” I’m now even more confident we’ll get no one else in. Time wasters. The executives at the club don’t have the ability to pull off a transfer like this. In fact I’m not sure we can sign any player where there is a serious interest (at an equal level) elsewhere. Name me one we’ve landed recently. They are too incompetent and the green light for anything significant never comes.
  21. There's a big difference between getting to 5th and finishing 5th.
  22. Agree... honest and steady can be useful at times but I will never not think you need someone better than Pickering (to go for promotion). Beck has it IMO and will likely only get better.
  23. Some of Gueye's hold up play was outstanding last night and if Amari Bell can play in the Premier League then Callum Brittain wouldn't look out of place in it. Top right back at this level and our player of the season so far. Another thing that stood out to me again was how much more dynamic and mobile Beck is compared to Pickering. I like Pickering as a steady and honest player... but he hasn't offered us much bite at all for years in defence or going forward. We will miss Beck massively.
  24. I thought Emil Riis looked useless tonight for what it's worth ...
