Nah Dolan is all hot air. Rarely hits a ball cleanly (passing, link up play or shots). Turns into trouble. Most things he does seem hopeful and fairly tamely executed. Lacks conviction and is a bit of liability on the ball for me. Sadly due to a lack of investment we still need him and he does put a shift in but I wouldn't touch him on a "big" contract. I rate Hedges at this level. He has a presence, can move with the ball, make a bit of time for himself and strike it fairly cleanly. It's a shame he's been out so much. Dolan I still think could fall off to a lower league one day. Suspect he will.

One thing you can argue is mistakes are more costly at CB and GK. So I can understand not wanting to throw youngsters into those positions.

Adam Wharton largely made the same move but handled his contract properly to make sure the club was looked after. Philips did us over as soon as he could, which was always his and his agents intention. Zero loyalty to Rovers.

As for the Adam Wharton transfer. I'm going to call it the Adam Wharton Heist. The entire transfer was a robbery. Inside job. The ability to get that transfer done and not reinvest a penny mid season, heading into a relegation battle is something else. This club doesn't deserve a penny of your money, and won't get a penny more of mine. Relegation from the Championship is what it deserves.

I've never understood the standing ovations for a player getting red carded, I guess it's a fairly good representation of our fan base... heads in the sand, pretending we aren't being mismanaged and hoping for the best. You wouldn't touch him, any fan who did a bit of research after he signed saw that. That isn't unlucky, it's extremely probable. You are kidding yourself and low fan standards like this when it comes to judgement expectations of the club, in every transfer window are allowing it to sleepwalk into League One.

Seen enough throughout the course of the season from this lot to know we are gone. Hyam, Brittain, Buckley, Dolan, Sigurdsson, Pears and Moran. All bottle jobs. Gallagher, Wharton and Pickering will battle but just don't have the quality. Subs - nowhere to be seen. Owners - likewise.

If you're ever debating the competency of the senior management at this football club just remember they worked tirelessly this deadline day on deals for Koumetio, Fleck and Duncan McGuire. Bahahahaha! Let that sink in. You're looking at multiple 6 figure salaries to make that happen. Multiple six figure salaries and this was the result.
