  1. Steve, can you get on the blower to Pune and tell them to find a way to get a striker, 3 centre backs and a right winger in before next Thurs (past experience in adult football preferable [for all 5]). Also probably best for you to be in the building on deadline day too and not sat watching football... being CEO and that 👍 One more thing before you go, appreciate all the work you're doing in keeping fans away on match days. Thoroughly enjoying putting my feet up inside Ewood!
  2. Our problem is the owners haven't given us the players, it's as simple as that. Let's stop dancing around it. We can barely handle two injuries.
  3. I thought today was one of the most concerning matches I've seen at Ewood in a long time. We're more of a threat to ourselves at the minute than the opposition. Huddersfield should and could have scored 3 with ease. We look lost, confused and are playing some appalling stuff.
  4. Not one permanent signing added yet to a squad that needs major reinforcement, and I doubt there will be any. We play a relegation rival tomorrow and still no experience added. The club is behind 16 other Championship teams in terms of attractiveness to join; when we were the 2nd most attractive team in the league last year we barely did any business. We are heading straight for League One without a fight. The owners should be forced to sell by the authorities, there is nothing fit and proper about this and absolutely no place for any football club in England to operate at the mercy of another country's judicial system. I've done business with companies in India, bigger than Venky's and the level of bureaucracy is something else, I've seen simple decisions that can be made in hours take many months. I've seen them want something, have the resources and get nowhere. This experience always made me wonder how the hell will Rovers operate successfully as a football club, a business where you often need big decisions made quickly to turn corners and function. It's absolutely no surprise for me to hear that in the past we have even found it difficult to get transfer offers on our own players responded to. No surprise that we sleepwalked into a Premier League relegation with a manager that was under qualified and sleepwalked our way through years of parachute payments. We are still sleepwalking our way through poor attendances and missed revenue, with a town three quarters detached from a club they love. All that aside, Venky's simply can't run a football club. I didn't need the tax issue to know that. It's a pet project and even if it wasn't it still wouldn't work. They will never make Rovers successful, I guarantee it and if you think differently after all this time your head is in the sand. Venky's have to go for Rovers to feel good again.
  5. The lack of squad depth, quality of the first 11 and lack of new additions (that aren't kids) is scary right now. The Championship is a tough tough league...
  6. He was probably promised we would compete with the club he was leaving, which we aren't doing.
  7. I think there will be more empathy from the media this time around.
  8. That header from Hyam on the second is something else. 2/10 performance from him. The guy needs to sort it out.
  9. If we have any sort of money to spend I'd get it spent on a decent goalkeeper. The current ones are sending us down. That's the harsh truth of how bad they are. Never seen anything like it at this level.
  10. Couldn't agree more. From last January to now for no one not to have been fired at a senior level is quite incredible. You can't get success with a no consequences model. Remember the summer before was only "half a summer" because they messed up getting a manager in, as if it were a surprise one would be needed? The fans knew in Feb. This summer it was the Indian government's fault... Laughable. All of our problems link back to detached, uninterested owners... who live a 12 hour flight away. We've got to find a way to get them out of the club.
  11. There's a key figure at the club who needs sacking and it's Steve Waggott.
  12. Here we are again... an underperforming manager that can't be held accountable thanks to the owners. JDT isn't the problem but the reality is even if he was... there would be nothing we could do about it. We would have to watch them continue to not get results beyond the norm of any other reasonably ran, ambitious club. As I said mid week, we have owners that are not fit and proper. They are incapable of running a football club. It will never change until Venky's are out of this club.
  13. I’ve never seen this many errors from a goalkeeper at this level… and I’ve seen some bad goalkeepers.
  14. Seen plenty of bad first and second touches from Moran this season I'm afraid. He does have ability though.
  15. In fairness to Gallagher we didn't cross him a ball for about 3 years.
  16. Again not Bowyer but Rovers senior management and.... look who it is again... THE OWNERS. Any person with a remote interest in football could have told you Gary Bowyer wasn't remotely close to being a top manager in the Championship. Every failure since 2010 is a symptom of Venky's.
  17. Read this plenty on here and it's one of the most ridiculous ideas around.
  18. Yep being backed is equally as important for the players as it is the manager in those positions. You see Carvalho walk into training or the goalkeeper they are about to sign for £1.3m and you all get boost. You start to believe that the people above believe and we have a chance. Rovers are essentially an ownerless club, as supporters we'll rue those two seasons for a very long time. We'll also probably regret not trying to force the owners and the CEO (who is taking the club nowhere) out more aggressively too on a matchday. They are getting away with it that's for sure.
  19. Hull in 7th place are doing exactly what our despicable owners wouldn't do when we were in 2nd (and will never do for that matter)... going for it. Unfit for English football.. No interest! Venky's out!!
  20. 100% our fans are bonkers. Venky's absolutely need to go.
  21. Didn't rate Travis but if the happy clappers are right we should see a player with 200 Championship appearances or the equivalent at a level above come in before January is over. Look forward to it... 😂 🐷🛫
