So let me get this straight we can bring in forwards for "a good fee" but that forward must accept wages between £5,000 - £10,000?? Good luck with a few things in this model: Getting those imaginary players in before Ipswich. Having players on that structure come in and have the immediate impact that's required. (They will either have to lack quality or be unproven) The bizarre setup is counterproductive and will only end in relegation from the Championship. The owners need to get gone. It's hardly going to attract the calibre of player needed, particularly as the average wage in the division rises. This model is not built for success. Ultimately anyone trying it will be left behind in terms of quality at this level. Venky's out. Pasha out! New owners please that want to win.

Some fans are not as smart as they think. There aren't many people who can afford to buy Blackburn Rovers and run it as badly as Venky's have, however, there are many that can afford to buy it and run it well. A key fact people overlook.

Nail on the head. Selling Hyam without a replacement that was even close to him undid everything. There are managers that would have resigned because of it.

I said it in summer McLoughlin wasn't good enough as a regular starter when we signed him and he hasn't done anything to make me think differently. We downgraded recklessly on deadline day at centre back and it's predictably disrupted the entire season (along with a lack of investment years prior in attack and the pitch). McLoughlin was brought in because we wouldn't spend the money needed in that position - however, originally alongside Hyam which softened the blow. The lack of quote "significant investment" is hindering everything, including formation and flexibility during games. I'm not a fan of playing 3 centre backs at home (not without good attacking wingbacks on each side)... but I'm probably only comfortable with 3 centre backs if McLoughlin is 1 of them since he isn't commanding enough aerially in a back 2. I expected Rovers to spend a good chunk of the Hyam fee on a longterm replacement as soon as this window opened, since that was the only way to justify their idiocy. It doesn't look like they'll be doing so and instead are spending some of the profit on a 6 month loan in his position! "The board" and Gestede absolutely deserve relegation this season. They've worked hard on all the ingredients.

I bet Sidnei Tavares is doing everything he possibly can to get back fit as quickly as possible for the second half of the season......... right? Some signing. Sack the lot.

Ohashi is bad but I'd expect a far better quality of pass at this level. They're both average players and wouldn't get in most sides.

The pass was horrible because he has no technique on his stronger foot, never mind his weak one. The majority of the cheap signings haven't worked out and can't even be called upon in a game like this, rather unsurprisingly.

Two clubs in a mess has made for a football game not worth watching.
