  1. 4 great chances, but converted none of them. Perhaps that's because the players just aren't very good.
  2. The state of the pitch is just one of many symptoms of their lack of care. The whole stadium is a neglected, run down, shoddy mess, and sooner or later some other urgent remedial action will be needed elsewhere. They have absolutely no pride, nor do they care a jot.
  3. I'll trudge down LBR as usual. But such is my peed-off-ness over yesterday, I really don't care much if we win, lose, or draw
  4. I don't understand why you're wasting effort trying to argue which pitch was worst, the Ipswich one or the one yesterday. The fact remains that both pitches were unplayable, and people with far more knowledge than the likes of you or I made those calls. The fact also remains that it's our so-called owners and execs who are responsible for these embarassments. Energy would be better spent directing ire in that direction.
  5. They hold us in such utter comtempt, that's the top and bottom of it. They simply don't give a shiny one, about anything or anyone. People spent time and money on that yesterday, but they simply do not care. No apology, no contrition. Nothing. The best thing to do is to boycott the replay, as has been suggested. As a ST holder, I'd be all for that, as would the Wednesday fans I imagine.
  6. Are refs any worse these days than that George Courtney display at Selhurst Park? I'm not so sure about that!
  7. My neighbour is a Wednesday ST holder. Reckons that their first 11 will give most sides a game and that they should have beaten PNE at the weekend. They have no strength in depth though, and suffer with inferior subs. Sounds familiar.
  8. All sides are impacted by the appallling standards. The good sides find ways to still win games. And I very much doubt that Ismael would be bleating as he is, if we were winning games.
  9. The fact remains that 3 points were there to be won. Why we didn't is due to a poor manager, making poor decisions, with poor players. Everything else is excuse making.
  10. "We played well"; We were excellent"; "We were unlucky"; "We deserved 3 points" "Ref was shit" That's just losers' talk to me. All I care about is winning football matches. 1 win in 9, carry on like this, and we're only heading one way. People need to waken up.
  11. Errrrr.....targetted marketing, email, social media, the website, the local press. Just like how most other things get advertised.
  12. Of those players, who do you think are upgrades on those we had previously? I'll give you Gudjohnsen over Gueye (which isn't particularly difficult), but the rest?
  13. What's led to the likelihood of a 'poorer league position than last season' is more down to replacing decent players with crap ones, and a decent manager with a crap one.
  14. That's as bad a stat and reflection on Ismael as any IMO. He's simply incapable of grinding out draws, something which even half-decent sides can do when they're not playing well.
  15. Granted, as at most clubs, midweek games are generally less well attended than those held 3pm Saturday. The reasons why they are poorly attended now are obvious, but in no way should anyone be accepting that it should 'always' be the case. Imagine someone suggesting that in front of Jack, or indeed any club exec with even a modicum of aspiration.
  16. That's the score that I was thinking. We won't keep winning away and I think we'll get a hammering soon enough.
  17. I wouldn't be bothered if we just just set up shop to draw a couple of home games. Stop the rot, build a bit of home confidence, and then take it from there. Watching us lose every home game is bloody depressing.
  18. So do I. The chances are that our away form will take a turn for the worse at some point. And based on the stats thus far, our manager is incapable of drawing, let alone winning, home games.
  19. I was brought up on Lammack Road, so the H&H was my local for years. I worked the bar for a good while in my late teens. I popped in on the weekend it was closing after the Stoke game, it was rammed. Sad to see it go.
  20. You used to bang on about 'communication', but now media comments are a 'non-issue'.
  21. What a splendid night out, well played Rovers. Absolutely terrific backing in the away end, which Ismael rightly pointed out.
