  1. Good to hear actual communication of what’s gone on…even though again it’s unofficial and under the radar for the majority of fans & the wider media. Broughton comes across in this interview like a politician and that constant smirk on his face makes him look like a complete bullshitter. To be adamant that the vision is STILL for us to become a sustainable Premier League club is just baffling with what’s gone on this season and the budget cuts. It’s almost impossible to do that by selling your best players and cutting the wage budget year on year. I think he’s trying to do the best job he can but ultimately has no authority on transfers. For me, given this is his first job as a Director of Football, he seems completely out of his depth working for cowboys like Waggott and Venky’s. His team have obviously done a lot of work on the McGuire deal to then have it all wasted by some convenient “human error” to stop us spending any money. There were no such errors getting crocks and carthorses Fleck & McFazdean through the door! Seems to me GB will just say whatever he can to deflect and make himself look good in order to keep his job and gain experience as a DoF. It’ll be the same with Eustace as he’s very inexperienced too. Not making JDT into a martyr as his record in his final few months at the club was abysmal, but he’s the only person we’ve seen be honest & not hide behind this constant bullshit and spin. He called out the situation for what it was and that made his position untenable. He knew that he’d walk into another job regardless, as we’ve seen. Fed up of all this nonsense and wish the club would just communicate directly with the fans and be honest with us. It’s absolutely appalling the way they are treating us and I don’t foresee it getting any better anytime soon.
  2. No excuse culture. Stop making excuses for him. No wins, that’s the only stat that matters.
  3. Are they still here? Is Broughton on gardening leave? Will anyone at the club communicate what is going on? Does Steve Waggott shop at Lidl? Get these cretins out of our club! Another chance to protest on Sky v Ipswich on Good Friday.
  4. Exactly! We need to remember who the fuck we are. Was chatting with a colleague & fellow Rovers fan yesterday reminiscing about some of our best games watching us. This club has won the Premier League, played in the Champions League & UEFA Cup, won the League Cup, 2 FA Cup Semi Finals, mixed it with and beaten all the big boys in the Premier League. My best game is beating Man Utd 4-3 at Ewood. Yet some fans mention us in the same breath as Rochdale or Bury. JDT brought the hope, the ambition, the potential back. Now we’re making do with a budget Tony Pulis with his shit baseball cap on, taking us straight down to League One. Get the cretins out!
  5. Exactly, my daughter is 12 a couple days before! Why’s it not under 16? Get the kids in, you also get the parents who then spend on food & merch, it’s really not rocket science.
  6. Anyone know Swags email address? Surely we need to reduce the ticket prices v Southampton and I want to email him with the suggestion. Or can someone bring it up at the Fans Forum? Kids for a Quid v Ipswich is great on Good Friday but we need to do more. It should be £10 for adults (£5 in Riverside) & kids for free all over the ground v Southampton. Middle of the Easter Hols, no better time to do it! Get the ground full with a better atmosphere & help us get a result.
  7. Play to the strengths of Szmodics, keep the ball on the floor & play through the midfield with the quality on the ball of Buckley Ayari & Siggy. Worked perfectly v Plymouth until we kept gifting them possession by kicking it long which allowed them back into the game. Then they totally dominated, before and after the red card. Forshaw in the middle the park was particularly strong. They outplayed, out thought & outfought us. Eustace needs to play to win. All I’m seeing so far is safety first football with the handbrake firmly on. Maybe that’s his plan, to grind out draws and scrape a win here and there to stay up. It’s not the kind of football I want to watch us playing though and if we carry on as we are, even more fans will be turned away. I believe we do have the quality in the squad to play a better brand of football so hopefully with a full week of training before the Boro game he can do something different. The jury is out on that from what I’ve seen so far.
  8. Pears Brittain Hyam Wharton Pickering Tronstad Buckley Dolan Ayari Hedges Szmodics Play to WIN, keep the ball on the floor & to the strengths of the most lethal goalscorer in the Championship. Very very simple. COYB 🌹
  9. Conveniently ignoring a League Cup Tie & a League match in between. Like I said, deluded. To be fair, you can see the difference under Eustace, it’s just a massively sh*t one! We have scored going long yes but it didn’t work yesterday. We either lost possession directly or the Ghost kicked it straight out of play on 5 occasions. If Gallagher plays as a central number 10 with Szmodics running in behind, as for the first goal against Preston, it may work. But now it’s 5 at the back, even at home, with Gallagher out wide, which we already know he can’t do. This continued when Hedges came on & we kept gifting it back to Plymouth. It was purely by good fortune they weren’t able to create a 2nd goal and for me they throughly deserved to win that game. Toxic positivity…aka quoting the club propaganda. Steve Kean…is that you?!
  10. You’re deluded Chaddy lad There is no way this budget Tony Pulis has any tactical acumen. A good coach would implement his ideas from Day 1 on the job. Remember when Mark Hughes came in and we drew 2-2 with Villa at Ewood and you could instantly see a better team. That’s not the case with Eusless. The only tactics we’ve seen so far are “hit it long to the big man” which is crazy given both our goalkeepers can’t kick it straight & the big man is an absolute donkey who can’t direct his flick ons and doesn’t have a first touch. Eusless is out of his depth and from what I’ve seen so far, a significant step backwards and he’s taking us down to League One with the fixtures we have remaining. Hope I’m proved wrong but the toxic positivity coming out of the club & fans like yourself doesn’t help one bit. We’re sleepwalking towards relegation with this approach. What we need is a bit of realism and for the players to roll up their sleeves & play for the shirt. Unfortunately we have a squad full of soft arses and aside from Szmodics, I don’t think any of them have the professional pride to really care.
  11. Are you employed by Steve Waggott? We were outplayed, out thought and out fought for 90 mins. Dolan tries hard but is a headless chicken, just like the cretins ruining our once great football club. Get. Them. Out! 🥀 🐔
  12. He clapped the fans solo at the start of the game too. He’s the only player in that squad with any professional pride for me.
  13. Can’t claim credit for this but it’s very good 😆
  14. Can anyone go to the Fans Forum? Asking for a friend
  15. He’s the top goalscorer in the Championship & has all the attributes of a brilliant striker, as described in my earlier post above. The point is, we need to play to his strengths.
  16. Still shite though Also the new Rovers Armed Forces Veterans Team could’ve probably beat Stoke that day. Eustace has a lot to prove, very uninspiring so far in the Championship. However, solid performances & at least 4 points from Millwall & Plymouth games will change that completely.
  17. Szmodics isn’t a false 9, he’s a striker with 25 goals this season in all comps. Scored a variety of goals including headers, poachers goals and running in behind. We need to play to his strengths, not the 6ft4 donkey Gallagher who for all his strong running and defensive headers, doesn’t score goals & lacks the technical ability or a first touch to hold the ball up and bring others into play. Wharton is a better option than McFazdean as he can play football.
  18. 442 do me a favour Chaddy lad 😩 Pears Hyam Wharton Chrisene Brittain Pickering Buckley Ayari Dolan Sigurdsson Szmodics Defensive solid with 5 across the back when defending but legs to get forward when attacking. McFazdean & Gallagher OUT as they simply aren’t good enough footballers. Replaced with better quality on the ball in Chrisene & Siggy. Siggy, despite his limitations, does have genuine quality to hurt the opposition in the attacking 3rd of the pitch. Which is what we need to WIN games. Pragmatic draws are no longer good enough. Let’s go out to hurt Millwall with good football, not play them at their own dirty game. COYB! 🌹
  19. Ideas for the next protest?! The club is dying before our eyes. At what point will the majority of our fan base wake up to what is happening? When we’re in the Bottom 3? When we get relegated to League One either this season or next? When further playing assets are sold in the summer for a knock down price? Gutsy but ultimately failed performances in the FA Cup or a pragmatic manager (who so far has been unable to achieve anything more than uninspiring draws and defeats in the league) aren’t going to change anything. Time to WAKE UP and DO SOMETHING & keep the spotlight on our cretinous owners and their stooge Steve Maggott. Parasites that are killing our club from the inside out with their short sighted and non-sensical business decisions. That couldn’t be more highlighted by loaning out our combative club captain & selling the best young midfielder of a generation ahead of time to keep the club afloat. GET THEM OUT BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE!
  20. Agreed, absolutely awful but to be fair to the lad you don’t want him in those areas. He’s an attacking midfielder/forward yet for some reason has been asked to drop into more defensive areas by both JDT & JE. And he’s not up to it. Thought he did well v Newcastle but he shouldn’t be playing in midfield. Unfortunately we let Travis & Wharton go and Tronstad being injured highlights the incredibly short sighted business decisions that happen at our club under Venky’s & Maggott. GET. THEM. OUT. The club is dying before our eyes and players & fans are sleepwalking into League One. TIME TO WAKE UP!
  21. Same old Rovers yesterday. Pears flapping. Moran losing the ball in key areas leading to easy goals for the opposition. Gallagher & Dolan, despite the recent clamour, would only be squad players in a team at the higher end of the Championship - both demonstrate a distinct lack of quality in the attacking 3rd of the pitch. If Gally had a first touch and could hold the ball up to bring midfield runners like Bucko, Szmodics & Moran into play he’d be fantastic. But he doesn’t, and his stats back up that lack of quality year in year out. And he’s a big pussy who gets subbed off at the slightest hint of an injury. Ultimately though, the blame lies with our cretinous owners & their stooge Steve Maggott. We’ve not had the budget to replace weaker first team players & ones that have left the club with better quality. This will lead us straight into League One, either this season or next. Both the players and the fans need to wake up to that fact very quickly.
  22. Agreed, he wouldn’t have even got a hat-trick with Tommy K between the sticks! One was a nutmeg & another went right through him. Made it easy for Haaland who hasn’t been in great form with his finishing lately
  23. Proud to be a Rover last night after an awful few months supporting this club! 🌹 The coaching team, players & fans united under the lights, mixing it with one of the Premier League big boys - what we had for 2 decades before our cretinous owners turned up! And a peaceful protest against the parasites running our club - Venkys & CEO Steve Maggot - that didn’t affect the lads or the enjoyment of the game. Impact made live on BBC One and in the wider media, not quite game, set and match but we certainly made a point 🎾 Well done to all involved 👍
