  1. No expert but I think Wharton is still recovering from playing 42 games across the Championship & Premier League in the season we sold him. Then going to the Euros for a month with England. Also, when fit, Palace play him every single game with little rest as he’s so important to them. Hopefully this latest injury is just a blip & conveniently timed around the international break so he doesn’t miss too many more PL games - otherwise his future move, England career & our sell on money is at risk!
  2. He’s only been in the country just over a week, give the lad time to unpack his bag ffs
  3. The Venky’s fire sale is well and truly started. Admittedly only small scraps of wood left to throw on now but looks to me like they’re cashing in on all remaining assets…
  4. I like this but would go 3-5-2 myself with Cantwell in a “free” role in midfield. Watched Birmingham v Ipswich and they lacked control in the middle of the park - win that battle we win the game in my opinion. Birmingham play with intensity & get the ball forward quickly but we’ve shown in the past we’re usually better when teams play on the front foot against us. Teams like WBA last week who played shit house dirty tactics and sit back, we struggle against. Toth Miller Hyam McLoughlin Alebiousu Riberio Travis Tavares Cantwell Ohashi Kargbo This is based on the performances last week - Hedges simply isn’t good enough to start at Championship level and Tronstad was poor. Travis to make his last stand in blue & white - we need his and Millers’ battling qualities in this game. We also need Cantwell’s creativity & Kargbo’s pace to get us forward and up the pitch. Bucking the trend of doom & gloom on here… 2-1 Rovers COYB 🌹
  5. Wharton will stay at Palace this season. It’s the best environment for him for now, a move now would only add pressure. He knows that as he’s got his head screwed on. He’ll star at the World Cup and will be able to name his team after that. The lad is a different level, every top club in Europe will want him next summer.
  6. Did you watch Hedges play last week? He’s League One level at best. Another parasite from the Tony Mowbray era, hanging on until the end of his contract as no-else is silly enough to buy him. Also McLoughlin will start before Wharton. Unfortunately all the footballing talent in his family went to his younger brother. He’s well past his best.
  7. We only played 3 youngsters, 2 of which got minutes in the Championship last season. The rest of the team are seasoned professionals and/or recent first team signings. There are no excuses for losing, especially with a bench full of our very best players (if you can call them that!). I’m hoping the new look team can kick on, starting with a win on Saturday which would change everything. But so far the signs aren’t looking good!
  8. Let’s have your predictions in the following categories: 1. Winners of the Championship Southampton 2. Automatic promotion (runners-up) in the Championship Ipswich 3. Four Play off semi-finalists in the Championship Leicester City Middlesbrough Coventry Rovers 4. Three relegated sides from the Championship Sheffield Wednesday, Preston, Oxford 5. Where will Rovers finish in the Championship? 6th (finally!) 6. First Championship club to change manager (after the season starts) Preston 7. Winners of the Premier League Liverpool 8. A notable wild card prediction of something that will happen in the Rovers universe during the season (e.g. Donald Trump visits Ewood Park) Balaji Rao to visit Ewood Park
  9. Credit where it’s due Rudy is doing well with some decent permanent signings, at a good age with potential to develop. We’re not there yet with another month to go in the window but it’s shaping up to be a good season. Common sense, a clear plan and forward thinking is prevailing (for now) with the grubby slimy little bean counter Waggott & the snake John Eustace out of the door. COYB 🌹
  10. Went at 6pm. No queues, straight in & the staff were very helpful. The kit is lovely, I prefer it to last seasons rip off of the ‘95 kit. Fingers crossed for a special edition one off shirt for the actual anniversary but no complaints from me on this one - the colour of blue spot on ⚪️🌹🔵
  11. The Venky’s can’t just “walk” - they own the club so are liable for any losses until they agree sell to a willing buyer who’ll then be responsible for said losses and a plan to run the club better. What we don’t want is absent ownership content to cover the losses by asset stripping, whilst the value of the club slides further into the abyss and fan numbers continue to drop off a cliff. The fans only job is to highlight the nonsense, state the facts & failings of the last 15 years and support the team on the pitch.
  12. We don’t have the same numbers or enthusiasm as Wednesday but if you’re willing to get something off the ground feel free. I’m just basing this on my own experience - there is little to no real support for a “protest” in the ground. If there was it would have happened already. Also they came out of the shadows in response to Glen’s work calling them out in the media. The “Pasha Out” banner was great but it came after this and was ultimately futile as the parasite is still there. “Support the team not the regime” would be a great message to have on a Tifo or Flag though. I just think the overall message needs to change from hating Venkys/Pasha to the fans being 100% committed to still supporting the club regardless of the chaos behind the scenes.
  13. Care to explain why? I’m opposed to the word “Tifo” as it’s essentially just a flag but I do believe they galvanise the fans, look great on TV and help to create a positive atmosphere in the stadium. The idea for this particular cause being to show solidarity & strength and not willing to back down against the poor ownership and running of the club.
  14. IDEA 💡 - and maybe something @glen9mullan and the coalition can look into further in dialogue with the club? Can we crowd fund our own “Tifo” or Flag as they’re otherwise known. What is a Tifo? The idea being to show & display that the fans remaining are the heart of the club and we aren’t going anywhere. Protests in the ground are absolute futile, so let’s spread love not hate for the white & blue 💙
  15. Speaking of VE Day 🥳 🇬🇧 🫡
  16. I’m sure certain stewards have been heavy handed but there’s certainly no consistent approach. I got my banner in easily enough and the “Pasha Out” one is huge and that’s been in twice. Let’s be creative like other fan bases have & actually work to get something that will have an even bigger impact. Rather than naysaying about what will happen and what won’t - that’s all I’m saying.
  17. That was before the owners current financial “issues” reared their head and the “project changed” - according to JDT anyway! So I don’t expect Dolan to be replaced with someone of similar quality, commitment or the better consistency & output he has shown this season. If we’re looking at cutting costs surely that should be with getting rid of Buckley & JRC rather than letting one of our best performers leave for free. Offer the lad £15k, he deserves it!
  18. I’ve heard Dolan has been offered £8k a week on similar terms. I don’t blame him for not signing if that’s true, given his output in terms of Championship goals & assists this season is better than anyone else at the club. Meanwhile some fans will say he’s been average and are happy to see him leave when we know full well he won’t be replaced with the same level of quality, commitment or appearance record at our level - likely a loan or a short term deal. #VenkysOut Zero Progress, Zero Ambition and nothing changes until they sell up
  19. Rovers barely have enough stewards to man every entrance so this is absolute nonsense. There’d be a lot more banners if people like you & @Mattyblue stopped pouring cold water on things & making up lies like this or saying that the club are all over it. They’re not.
  20. Replacing Modric is near impossible but I think he’s already better than Camavinga at Real Madrid and any player City or Arsenal have in that specific position. He’s a perfect player in midfield to dictate the game & be a perfect foil for the likes of Bellingham, Rodri and Rice to have more freedom to get forward. Top top player and hopefully he’ll move again soon to keep the lights on for us for another 6 months with the sell on fee!
  21. He’s better than that & they can’t afford him due to FFP
  22. Remember to Express Yourself today all Hoping for a Rovers win for the fans and a final message to Waggott, Suhail & Gestede that we want you gone along with the Rao Family parasites from our club. COYB 🌹
  23. Last chance to express yourselves this season today all! I’ll be there from 2.30pm for a peaceful protest and taking photos with my banner. The plan will be to bring it out in the Blackburn End from about 75 minutes during the game. Nothing changes ‘til Venky’s leave our club 🐔 🥀
