Leads to more money in the bank accounts of the super rich and that’s what counts.

None of them. Adverts can fuck off.

Listening to this belter of a compilation that was hiding amongst my albums. All the tunes are interspersed with Timothy O'leary style musings between each number. No idea when or where I got this. I suspect it could have been another one of those £1.50 super dinds from the record exchange. Absolutely brilliant.

The thing we should celebrate is that all the money was generated in the town. We weren't bankrolled by war criminals or oligarchs from abroad. -

Yes I meant as a town but didn't really word it well. We did have a benefactor when we won the league. He was a local lad who was a lifelong fan of the club and his business (the largest steel stockholder in Europe) was in the town. My dad worked there as did my uncle and so many other people who have been part of my life. So yes, we bought the league if that's what you want to call it, but unlike Chelsea, City, Liverpool, Leicester, United and all the others who tried and failed, we used our own money. -

I think every player we were in for they also put a bid in as well. Show me a team that hasn't spent money to win the league in the last 30 years. This isn't the 60s anymore and even then players were being sold for record fees. What the media and footballing establishment really hate about our Premier League win is that it flew in the face of everything the Premier League was supposed to be about. Wealthy clubs from big cities. We took them on at their own game and won. Much the same way as we did 100 years earlier when we became the first working class town team to win the FA Cup. -

I just want the never ending nightmare of the Venkys reign of failure to end. Sometimes you can get away with giving something a new paint job and a bit of a fix up. Other times you need to tear it down to the ground and start again. -

They deliberately relegated the club and have made absolutely no attempt to rectify this. Scum. Give me administration any day over these turd lickers. -

When Burnley sacked Dyche it was in an attempt to avoid relegation. Venkys sacked Big Sam in an attempt to deliberately relegate the club. -

There was always going to come a day when they would beat us. That's just football. But whilst we had people in situ that had even the slightest shed of dignity and competency they were never going to overtake us in the way they have. -

It's one of the main reasons why I will never stop holding them to account for what they have done. And to all the gloating dingles; you've basically just beaten up a cancer patient. Well done tough guys. -

Yes and before they had infested our beloved club we hadn't lost to them for 30 odd years I think. One thing for sure is we were lightyears ahead of them with no chance of them ever catching up. -

I can understand the dingles having the chip on their shoulder as the only reason they have become more dominant than us is because we had the club ripped apart from the inside. -
Everything about this tournament is a total sham. The only good thing to come out of it is that Qatar's attempt at sport washing has backfired and has only brought more scrutiny upon them. Hopefully that same level of scrutiny will be applied next time when the tournament goes to Amerikkka.

Nothing wrong with lowering expectations, mine are about as low as they can be and I'm still disappointed on a regular basis, although I am pleased with where we are in the league. The one thing I will never lower is my standards. When the Indian disease first manifested itself upon this great club we were sitting comfortably in the middle to top half of the Premier League. We were also probably one of the most well run clubs in the world. That is the minimum standard that I am prepared to accept from our supposed billionaire supposed owners.
