  1. This is all so dreary and predictable. Not a sniff of a striker.
  2. Both were clear pens for me. How he didn't give the one against us baffles (and delights me). Overall a decent 80 mins and a shoddy 10, highlighting the dearth in midfield backup. The quicker Tronstad is back the better, on recent evidence I'd be happy with Bucko being a backup but Forshaw and JRC (what's happened to him?) aren't up to it. Much needed win. Over to the directors box now. Everyone knows what's needed
  3. Expecting a manager to be at least competent at managing a team, devising game by game strategy, contract planning and negotiation, succession planning and other non football activities is unrealistic in the extreme nowadays.
  4. Something to look forward to at least.
  5. Therein lies the problem. Not looking to improve, happy to stagnate.
  6. That is a dreadful line up. Consequence of years of ruin. Good luck lads.
  7. I thought you couldn't predict the future?
  8. I've always maintained that we would spend minimally this window but I'm beginning to think it's going to be very close to zero outlay. Don't talk to me about Forshaw or Dion, they're both savings with the outgoings loans and combination of Fadz and Baker leaving. I would be entirely unsurprised if we don't make another "permanent" signing.
  9. Not sure when from but up to currently
  10. Just saw this and it's interesting, if totally predictable.
  11. He'll be pleased to sign for a more professional outfit.
  12. While I'm not complaining about this in particular, the fact that we're still sitting in 6th is blinding many. We're in relegation form and had Eustace not put together the staggering run last year a lot more eyes would be opened - though I fear people would be calling for his sacking as opposed to those above him. I'll admit to not being a fan of his last season but it's incredibly clear how well he's done with as poor a squad as there is in the division and little to no investment. Watch the tone change as we slip through midtable.
  13. Can't wait til we add all the quality players that are only sold in the last week of the window. We could do with a left back, right back, centre back, at least one CM, a winger on each side and a striker.
  14. Guaye is having a stormer. Putting everyone else to shame
  15. True, but we're getting worse. Not a chance we stay where we are.
  16. Wow. Horrendous. The season is over folks.
  17. Foreshaw on to give the midfield some legs...
  18. I'd imagine they're probably happy for the extra body but internally judging the club.
  19. Foreshaw was always a waste of time. The availability of someone far better doesn't change that. He should never have been brought in. Full stop.
  20. Foreshaw wasn't good enough for bottom of the table, he absolutely isn't good enough for us. Why did we bring him in? Cos he was free. O'Brien would be an astute signing that would improve our midfield no end.
  21. Wait and see what the end of the window brings folks. Maybe it's an adequate midfielder and the 3+ points to make up for having shit all on the bench. The first 11 are hard working and capable. Beyond that it's utter bargain basement dross. Adam Foreshaw, seriously?
  22. All entirely predictable and wholly informative of our squad.
  23. The point being that one big profit off of a successful purchase can negate - and hopefully, exceed - losses on any duds.
