  1. As someone pointed out on another platform we just have a business box ticking board of directors not a football one or club one and certainly not a Blackburn one. Discounting the non exec faker.... A COO from Venkys and possibly an agency rep. A CEO 2 ownership finance directors probably both India based. It's the most non football, non Blackburn board you could imagine, more akin to one at a minor supermarket chain.
  2. Any good ambitious upwardly managing board of directors would be saying to the supposedly now un compromised and wealthy ownership that now is the perfect time to reinvest in quality for next season and future sales. Would also help ST sales which should be held at current prices throughout summer !
  3. The people at this end an in between have created a situation where they've told them we are ok for now we don't need any money. This will reflect in their standing in India and probably in their pay packets, bonuses and job security. Meanwhile another promotion tilt is ruined, another highly regarded head coach has left and at some point in the near future the squad will suffer further weakening. Do they give a #### ? No.
  4. Well he doesn't like me he blocked me on twitter for calling out these lot repeatedly but regardless of that when guys like him start to flag this up you have to take notice. These people are concerned first and foremost with covering their own jobs and salaries and the numerous other perks and ego trips that come with their positions. The min they are questioned or put into the spotlight they go into meltdown and panic mode, that tells its own story. It's a real comfortable little number keeping the club barely ticking over with no other ambition than to keep the lights on and keep the ownership under impression that is all their club should now do in this era and everyone is happy.
  5. Years ago it was Cheston i think who said all the money taken at Ewood goes towards the staff at Ewood and operational staff whilst the owners underwrite the football players and football staff costs. Pretty self explanatory when you look at the figures, biggest bulk of income is media/player sales and owners loans, biggest expense by far is football staff and player wages. A couple of mill in season tickets just about covers the directors and staff inside Ewood.
  6. Staff yes, players no. How much do you think is left out of ticket income to pay players after all ground staff, office staff, Swaghail, Rudy and co are paid ?
  7. Haven't seen a post that said it does. It does pay the wages and perks of Swaghail and Gestede though....
  8. Yep it needs a serious genuine bidder with the correct finance structure and plan to step up and make an official offer. That then gives those in the middle nowhere to hide because it's a public offer and the owners will get to know about it, it'll also ramp pressure on them to pull their fingers out instead of easily batting off questions with the same old shtick. The owners might still say bog off but at least fans have something to cling to and can't settle for the same old BS. Sadly it'll probably never happen because any interest will just keep watching and waiting for admin or a plummet down the leagues first until we are worth a fiver. If someone is out there please step up !
  9. As are Boltons gates since they did their ST deal a few years ago and once they eventually climb back into this league they'll quickly re-establish themselves above us. Then the talk will be 'oh they ave 20k we can't compete with that'. The down scalers here have almost won their battle to permanently reduce this clubs size and standing into one they can easily manage.
  10. The Bury comparison has always been stupid but it's classic fear factor tactics that the masses swallow, the kind UK govts have used on a daily basis to push their agendas. Bury have a history but modern times have always been a tiny club who belong in the lower reaches on the football league, no disrespect just facts. Every other club of our size survives and will come again, Coventry, Plymouth, Pompey, Charlton, Luton, Bolton etc the list is long although of course there are the odd exceptions like Swindon and Oldham. But we always get told 'Bury' 🀨 ... for maximum effect obviously. Far more likely under this ownership and pair of gravy train riders is a Bolton or Charlton scenario in the next 5 years and if that's the case i'd rather do it without the people who have caused it.
  11. Well its turned out that the storming first half of a few seasons we've had is absolutely vital to our relegation scrap. Play offs have never even come into it but they put little soundbites in towards India like 'depending what division we are in' when talking future transfers and ticket prices. Everyone knows damn well because if you don't recruit for promotion you will never ever get it no matter who is in the dugout !
  12. The gaslighting they've already done with Ismael is off the scale telling everyone he surpassed every bar they'd set. That really is insulting fans. So to sit there and justify appointing Rooney would be new territory of piss taking even for this lot, a word or warning though our Wayne works cheap. That means he's a shoe in.
  13. Why don't they just be honest and say 'come and wing it with us for another year, nobody knows what they are doing and anything could happen, that's the exciting bit'. Next chapter is stay up, stay solvent.
  14. Nothing more than fear mongering they genuinely think everyone is too dumb to see past it. Absolute rank amateurs in charge of the PR down there you can absolutely tell straight away that COO is a corner shop operator and he's right next door to a small time snake oil salesman in Waggot. They will do anything to cover their own hides now it's right back to Shagnew but they'll have some job on explaining next seasons ST sales if the mood around the hardcore fanbase is anything to go by.
  15. Wouldn't surprise me if there's various staff names on the payroll who nobody knows what they actually do. An 'adviser' on ten grand a week, that sort of thing.
  16. The game is bent beyond repair, parasites everywhere.
  17. Both Badu and the other fella are directors and are financial people on behalf of Venkys, please point me to what else they are if they aren't that ? I'll reiterate, just how many financial people does one football club need, way too many layers at this club that leads to constant confusion as we've seen.
  18. How many financial directors does a club need ? There was Charlie Cheston also before he left so that's 3 finance men plus the Chief Operating bean counter Suhail and Waggot himself. Plus i presume club accountants and payroll officers.
  19. Possibly, i think they took a 30% wage deferral but don't forget Rovers were still paying off some previously sacked people back then. I just remember him banging on and 4 million sticks in the mind and there was also talk of a weekly wage budget for first team starters that meant players oddly left out occasionally. Either way they weren't paying first team wages of 16.8 million to that squad in league 1.
  20. The FIRST TEAM FOOTBALL WAGE BILL not the entire club. Mowbray himself said they'd reduced it to something like 4 million in league 1, presumably taking into account the senior pros wage deferrals.
  21. Yep iv'e long said a glance at the true Blackburn Rovers payroll would be quite interesting.
  22. And we'd have been looking at a damn sight more than 18 million before add ons by now if he'd stayed. Absolute clown show running and owning this club and to think poor old Gregg the Egg thought he would be getting some spends from it as well. Instead he got his p45.
  23. How much does the actual first team wage bill cost ? Think it was as low as 4 million when we hit league one.
  24. Well it cost them a couple of million to replace him anyway with Hyam so they didn't save a bean. Looked a better player at first but defensively i don't think there's much between them, both good on their day but both with regular flaws.
  25. Disagree Whilst i wouldn't have been chucking silly money at him he's another who could have been tied down earlier for a more sensible offer, people have heard that from his own mouth. For an academy grad who cost nowt he was a rugged enough defender who might have commanded a modest fee at some point. I don't think anyone we've had since has been much better tbh.
