if BBD is out, Id definately consider Lenoard. He cant be any worse than Vale or Gallagher and might make the step up look simple. Would be like a new signing if he did. Whilst Szmodic (spelling?) has been pretty poor hes got a couple more goals than the rest of the other forwards so should replace Dack. Pears Brittain Carter Hyam Pickering Travis Buckley Thomas Szmodic Dolan Leonard

Hopefully the BBD goal will help him get his mojo back. Swansea will have a lot of the ball, that's how they play. In a way it would suit our forwards to play on the counter but likely JDT will want to match Swansea possession style. Britain back also helps IMO even if JRC has been ok lately. We're desperately devoid of anything in CM though. Pears Britain Carter Hyam Pickering Travis Buckley Thomas Dack Dolan BBD -
The body of ex Chelsea and Newcastle player Chritstian Atsu has been found under a collapsed building in Turkey. Weren't we close to getting him on loan 2 or 3 seasons back? Poor bloke
-
Need to change something in that midfield and forward line. Its just not working, though our options are limited. Defence is still reasonably solid, despite the injuries. I am assuming Hyam and Ayala are out. Kaminski Brittain Carter Wharton Pickering JRC Travic Dack Thomas BBD Dolan
-
Brittain walks back into the side for me. Our best fullback by far, specialist in that position and competent both going forward and at the back. Not too slow either. JRCs lack of pace is a massive hinderance at full back for me. If anywhere I think hed do ok in central areas where pace isnt such an issue.

Are there not rules against so many first teamers and players over 21 playing for the U21s? I'd have thought there would be a limit not nearly a full side. JDT seems to treat the U21s like an old school reserve side. I remember as a teenager when blackburn reserves played at Morecambe Fcs ground just round the corner from me. £3 a game and it was mostly first teamers who didn't play at the weekend. Had some big names down there. Dwight Yorke, Diego Forlan, David Ginola, Jason Wilcox to name a few. Bit worried some of our genuine U21 prospects struggle for game time now.

Kaminski injured? Apologies if it's already been discussed? I've literally no idea how this will go. That line up doesn't exactly breed confidence. Their forward Keane has 10 league goals apparently so more than any pf ours. Dack to carry us!

I understand the sentiment, but I can only feel a certain amount of sorrow for someone in their mid 20s earning £1000s a week for doing nothing. More time to get his golf handicap down. -
I think some demonstrations at the ground are long overdue, or at least some banners asking for the board to explain themselves in particularly Venkys, Waggot and Broughton. Broughtons role in this cant be overlooked. Unless he is hamstrung by those higher up, he was brought in to make sure these thinks proceed correctly. I reckon Skysports would spin the story of discruntled little blackburn fans complaining when were in the playoffs, what else do they expect??

It would be nice for JDT to come out and say it as it is, that the club had a chance of promotion, I wanted to strengthen but the club and the board failed to perform and the club needs to sort itself out if it ever wants to improve. I suspect hes a tow the company line type of guy though, which is probably why he agreed to work under these morons. -

No chance a deal has been done if theres been nothing this late. The staff will have been on site for ample time to get something out. More likely theres some internal arguing and desperately coming up with a saving face excuse. -

Hope is there's a couple of names to be announced today, Expectation is that we achieved fuck all and the announcement is that there is no announcement! Fully expect to hear nothing. Hope to be proved wrong. There are clubs with more strict FFP restrictions than ours that still manage to get business done more efficiently than us. Amateur shambles at times. -

Talk of multiple missed targets, a manager wanting players and not getting them, best player off for nothing. Not good reading in any way. Strikes me as a bit of a shambles. I suspect that between the manager, GB and the new scouting/recruitment staff the club can identify targets but a mix of FFP and owners who dont care makes it impossible to get anything other than bargain basement deals over the line. I could easily see JDT, GB and co walking away after a while of this. In other non Rovers related transfer news, City are letting Cancelo go on loan with option to buy to Bayern. Cant believe City are happy to let him go. He was one of the best 2 or 3 full backs in world football last season. Mental. -

Cant say I'd ever heard of Sorba Thomas until yesterday. We're crying out for some more pace in the side so if he brings this then its a good addition. Cant get too excited however about a winger who can't get in huddersfields side, when to me were more desperate for a striker and centre mid. Is he much different to Dolan or Markanday, time will tell. Hopefully hes as well as ST and CM and not instead of. Strikes me a bit like Giles last season, came when leading the assist charts only to find Gallagher couldnt out jump a drawf. Ended up at right back or something. -

Increasingly confident that we wont sign anyone. Silence from GB and signs of frustration from JDT. Hope is well doe something, expectation is nothing. -

Is Markanday injured? He seems to have been the only semi bright spark in the last month. -

Gundogon has agreed a free transfer to Barcelona. 32 years old but pretty sure City would have kept him around if they could. Another example of players running down contracts. -

I actually think Brereton will turn out to be fairly mediocre. La Liga is probably a good move for him as I dont think he would ever be a regular goalscorer in the prem. Our mistake was not accepting any bids in the summer. On the other side, if the club offered him another 5 year deal 2-3 years ago when I thought he was garbage Id have thought why? Seems to be a more common thing now of players refusing to sign contracts. Even happens at top clubs e.g. Pogba, Sterling. They know they can get higher wages if the new club isnt paying a transfer fee, leaving the selling club without much leeway. -

We are wank. Apart from 2 or 3 players the rest of the squad is bottom 5 quality. A fluke start to the season got us up there -

There's barely any goals in this side. It's unreal that we are so high in the league with such a shit squad and in general poor performances. May as well try Dack upfront and Markanday and Dolan either side. Can't be any worse. -

Gareth Bale has just announced his retirement from football (both club and International) on Instagram. Top player in his day who probably doesn't get the credit he deserves. His motivation and physical abilities both seemed to wane over the last couple of years -

Everton dont want him back. Amazing how quickly one of the countrys most talented youngsters has fallen into obscurity. Still only 26. Suspect lots of money too early and who else knows what pressures come with that have caused him to loose his appetite for the game.

Admittedly I don't get chance to go to many live games at Ewood, but the last game I watched against Sunderland he was abysmal. No effort, no press, slow passing, gave the ball away constantly and gave away a pen. Got sent off the next game so I'm not his biggest fan. To be honest I don't really rate any of our midfield options. The only solution for me is a complete overhaul in the transfer market.
