  1. Can see a similar tactic to the Swansea game. Can't see us having much of the ball. Need BBD and Co to be clinical when they get a chance. Big game for Ayala. Hopefully the heat slows the game down which might help us keep our shape. I'd take a draw. 1-1.
  2. Bloody hell. I know its only hartlepool but considering this is a second string side its a good effort. 8 goals and 0 conceeded for JDT so far.
  3. Hard one with Dack as he seems to be hardly in the game and doesn't suit JDT style but still has an eye for goal.
  4. Haha I was trying to screenshot the same thing. I don't know...I wouldn't have put it past Melton Mowbray. Fuck I'm glad he's gone
  5. Not rovers related but West ham have agreed to sell their striker Vlasic to Torino for £15m. Never heard of this guy and don't remember ever seeing him play last year but they only signed him last summer for £30 million. Goes to show the crazy money prem clubs are willing to pay and the losses they can make. Everton interested in the Coventry forward Gyorkes. If anyone comes in for BBD it will be them imo.
  6. Interesting to see how Markanday gets on. Not really had chance to see him so far. If he turns out to be decent our forward options other than a proper CF dont look too bad.
  7. Didnt he have a couple of bad injuries last year and the year before which meant he missed a lot of U23 games /loan move? Its sad to see, but some players despite an abundance of talent seem to be blighted by injuries throughout their careers.
  8. For everyone saying JPVH....has there actually been any links or rumours at all linking us with a move? I've not seen any!
  9. Hes had one good season with west ham in the last 12 years. Average player with not a lot of hunger still demanding that money. Mental signing. Similar to Everton paying through the nose in wages for Dele Alli.
  10. Hopefully the bad hamstring tear he had last year doesnt kill off his pace. Hamstring tears bad enough to need an operation are a killer for players based on pace. Saw that with Chapman.
  11. After an initial flurry of interviews when JDT and GB were appointed, the silence is now deafening. Whilst we seem to be tied into a tight wage structure which will make signings harder, the silence from GB and the club makes me think all is not well. Pretty sure if all was happy behind the scenes we would have heard more off GB.
  12. Welcome to the club JDT. As others have said its a risk having not managed in England before but also quite exiting to bring in someone younger and fresher than the outgoing miserable old dinosaur. His name will surely also have some attraction in world football which may help with recruitment. Has had some success in Sweeden, but wasnt that also the case with Henning Berg? Pleased hes brought his own staff. Need to sort out recruitment ASAP. Big transition period for the club!
  13. My reading of the Lenhian move and LET article is that he was waiting to see who our new manager would be and the direction the club is taking...we havent appointed anyone and he ran out of patience. Alongside better financial terms. A kick in the guts for us leaving us in a bit of a mess squad wise...but to be fair if I wasnt a Rovers fan and treated it as a job I would have done the same. He probably thinks the same as us regarding how the club is run.
  14. Be interesting if this guy has the authority to put some pressure on the manager after a bad run unlike Mowbray ever experienced. Mowbrays best mates status with the CEO and complete lack of pressure despite terrible results was one of the most toxic things about the club in the last couple of years. We'd have been in the play offs if someone gave Mowbray a kick up the arse at some point since January. It will be refreshing to see if he does...wont hold my breath just yet.
  15. Never heard of him. Not entirely sure how the DOF leads with recruitment. I am assuming the manager tells him I want a new forward of this type and the DOF goes and gets one, rather than the DOF telling the manager I have bought this for you, now try and work out how to use them?
  16. The more Mowbray speaks the more I think he will still be here next year. The lazy thing to do is offer him a new 2 year deal...which is probably what they'll do. Either that or theyll forget completely and leave waggot as manager/ceo.
  17. No no no no and no! Posts like this just show how far the club has fallen and the very very low expectations from some of the fan base. Sad times.
  18. Can't wait to see the back of this fat useless muppet. Conned a living off us for 4 years. Leech
  19. Guys a tool living of a promotion from L1 4 years ago. He is tactically inept, other than the first half of this season a side, results have been regularly mediocre. Im excited to not have to read his ramblings. I am however, equally concerned that the club isnt set up to conduct a proper manager search, nor have any idea the direction it wants to go. Whilst its a great chance to appoint someone dynamic and ambitious, well just as likely end up with another journeyman from the same agency. heres hoping....
  20. Apart from one enjoyable season getting promoted from league 1 and a couple of good signings in Dack and Armstrong it's been utterly turgid enfuriating and often farcical. Even the promotion season we still got beat by Wigan despite having twice their budget. His tactics are the stuff absolute nonsense. Cant wait till he's gone. Sadly I don't think that will be for a few years
  21. This has been quoted umpteen times. It's clear he has no intention of giving up this easy wage. His mates in the boardroom will also do the same.
  22. Boring. What's the point. We all know Melton Mowbray will be still here creaming a living next season. Losing interest in the club to be honest.
  23. Feck me. You would think our squad are actively trying to avoid the playoffs Bunch of bottle jobs
  24. Even if we make the play offs I simply can't bare anymore of his mental tactics and bizarre interviews. Get rid and replace with someone younger and hungrier. Massive reset in the summer. A good chunk of our experienced players are off for no fee and we need a big rebuild. Mowbray is not the man to lead that in any way. Just as important is to get rid of of pointless waggot and appoint someone competent. I won't hold my breath though.
