  1. Nice message from Arma on Instagram. Not sure I agree with his backing of Mowbray but its a nice personal message to the club and fans. Cant hold any grudge over his move. Good move for him and his family. Good luck to him.
  2. His comments completely sum up the complete lack of pressure he feels to get any type of result. Completely and utterly repaxed with his feet up taking home a pay check along with his mate Waggot.
  3. If I wasn't a Rovers fan I'd bet good money on us to be in L1 next season. Cant see many positives to look forward to in the next 12 Months. Lost a 29 goal striker, host of players out of contract next summer.. Hopefully fans in the ground will help get a message to the owners...if they ever watch a game. Bit gloomy after a cup game but I can see it coming
  4. Only a friendly but as others have said..I have a bad bad feeling about this season. feel well be closer to L1 again come summer than the top.
  5. Nice shirt..like the rose detail in the blue. Gives the impression some actual thought went into it same comments as others regarding i would prefer alternate blue white arms. A far cry from that god awful pale blue zebra sponsor kit. Still makes me feel queezy
  6. Feckin hell, having lived a relatively sheltered life thus far, its amazing and eye opening to read how many of us have difficult backgrounds and periods in their past. Kudos to all that have had the strength to come through. Reading Treacys article, I can fully imagine its still a problem in our game....including our club.
  7. Wonder if he can speak any Spanish. I bet its quite an awkward prospect being called up to a national team where you cant even speak the language of all your team mates.
  8. I think Ward Prowse can count himself unlucky not to be in the squad. Sancho for all the hype never seems to take the full back on. Passes it square.
  9. Cant get my head around why the two warm up games before a tournament, were playing half a team that aren't in the tournament squad. 3 rightbacks in the squad but a CB who isn't in the competitive squad plays there. Madness...
  10. TAA pulls a hamstring after all the debate. I'd guess lingard or ward-prows will replace him. very dull game
  11. Surely not. that would be utterly pointless! Said it before the only thing holding this England side back is the man in charge.
  12. Southgate loves a defender. Half the squad defenders. Whilst they all had a case to be picked why on earth pick 4 right backs? madness. Just needs an injury to one CM or CF and we're lob sided for the tournament. I'd have taken Ward Prowse for his free kicks and corners. Got a bad feeling were going to see a 5 at the back formation despite our attacking talent.
  13. In the LET sounds like Douglas is fishing for another deal here after being released from Leeds. That would really sum up the club atm if he came back. he was utter garbage and is extremely lazy and unadventurous transfer policy. Bore off.
  14. There are a lot of defenders picked in that squad. I'm hoping that's not an indication Southgate is going to revert back to a cautious 5 at the back. Its one of the most talented attacking pool of England players I've seen. To go cautious and play 5 at the back would be a huge waste of talent. Id also pick TAA every day of the week over the other full backs if hes fit. Very difficult to pick a front line as each player has a strong case to start. Good problem to have providing Southgate doesn't bottle it. My line up (if all are deemed fully fit): Henderson TAA Stones McGuire Shaw Henderson Rice Sancho Foden Sterling Kane Id even play mount as a CM against weaker oppositon.
  15. Id forgotten Ayala still played (is contracted to!) us. Good value there.
  16. Watching the fans of the greedy 6 protesting outside the ground with banners....can rovers fans do similar over Mowbray? I'd say Venkys but we're so in debt they could literally liquidate us 😞
  17. I think if Fifa actually go through with this, there would be a player revolt. Harry Kane and co will not want to miss a world cup or Euros. I cant see Rashford after campaigning for free kids meals, being happy to play in a closed league for the enjoyment of foreign billionaires. Whilst wages are astronomical, most players came from working class background and I still think (hope) they have the conscience to know this is very wrong.
  18. Really hope I wake up tomorrow to see Man U, City, Liverpool, Arsenal Chelsea and Spurs have been docked all points this season or even banned from league competition.
  19. That sounds shit. A 1 league closed competition. Either I'm miss reading your posts or you're all up for a billionaires show comp that rovers would never have chance to be a part of. No thanks. Why are you on a Rovers message board if you're excited about Watching Arsenal play Man U for the 8th time a season? Strange.
  20. This coupled with the abomination that is VAR, ridiculous rules no one understands, massive wages, owners who don't even watch the games and just buy clubs as a toy thing.....games dead. I'd rather watch my local league 2 side. At least they are part of the community. I'd love Uefa to allow it, then ban all players involved from international and existing domestic competitions.
  21. Fuck me. Theres nothing you can really say to that is there..
  22. Weren't we linked to Marcus Maddison a couple of years ago. He's come out and said he doesn't enjoy the game and is considering retiring. https://londonnewsonline.co.uk/no-charlton-athletic-return-for-marcus-maddison-as-he-considers-walking-away-from-football/
  23. Erm...how far off the drop are we? Genuinely worried we'll be in L1 next year with the same dinosaur in charge, minus half the squad. Cant see us winning any games between now and season end.
  24. Almost spat my drink out reading some of the comments in that last interview. Just shows how he knows he is immune and can basically take the piss. Reg Waggot: “I talk about the games to them, what they saw, they don’t like to lose as I don’t like to lose, but they see the team performing at a level. “If you were in their position you’d be doing the same, or may be you wouldn’t. Maybe you’d be a results orientated owner who, ‘lose three on the bounce, sack him and get the next one in’ but then you might have four, five, six managers a season if that was the case. WTF. What fucking level? A bottom of the table form level for the past 4 months? Fucking best mates bleeding the club dry. So arrogant its unreal. They are both in the same bracket as Kean for me now. think we genuinely need a protest outside the ground to get some press.
