  1. I think he was signed in case anything happened to Morsy. Injuries, suspension etc.
  2. Mowbray signed way more bad players than good. Bowyer ( or his dad ) was the manager who signed good players.
  3. Every season there’s usually one team that looks dead and buried in January but goes on an unbelievable run to get clear. This season several teams have gone on runs to pull clear.
  4. It’s not just about statistics is it ? He was the one player who could consistently get us from deep in our half to deep in the opponents half with a pass or a carry. Tronstad can’t, Travis couldn’t , JRC could do it once in half a dozen games. It’s not his fault if he was laying balls on a plate for the other dopes to squander.
  5. The Supremes - When The Love Light Starts Shining Through His Eyes
  6. JDT had Wharton. When he left 50 % of our attacking threat went with him out of the door. It was our “ Ken Knighton “ moment, when the management sold the one player that could have possibly kept us up to pay the wages and keep the lights on,
  7. That’s because it will be. The team/club/manager relationship had unravelled under JDT to a point were the relationship wasn’t retrievable. We were a rudderless ship heading for the rocks.
  8. I used to drink with the guy who was his headteacher a few years ago. I can’t remember the name of the school but it was in Bury. He told me back then the lad was going to sign for City.
  9. I nearly got signed by Bacup Borough back in the mid 1960’s. It was a strange experience.
  10. In the world of backwards and sideways passing that is modern football a player that can actually pick out forward passes is worth their weight in gold. No doubt we’ll get a handful of magic beans when Palace sell him on to a big club.
  11. I’ve defended Gally in the past but as the seasons have gone by he’s just got worse and worse. He’s supposed to be our No1 striker and when did he last look like scoring a goal ?
  12. I thought he did ok after a very shaky first 10 minutes. Has he been seen since ?
  13. We won’t be spending anything, the transfer money is already ear marked for paying the wages and keeping the lights on. I don’t even bother to look at the “ Summer Transfer “ thread on the site. It’s a pointless exercise.
  14. He’s not good enough for this league and if we were to drop down he’s too expensive for that league. Plus he’s injury prone. I’d let him go.
