We looked really off the pace today, collectively and individually. Our body language didn’t look great either.

His attitude isn’t what it should be. If he’d Sammi’s attitude he’d be in the Premier League.

Great free kick but that was about it. We looked lethargic all over the pitch. We haven’t got a goal in us. We wouldn’t have scored a goal from open play if we’d have played all night. At least we know that we can’t play JRC, Travis and Tronstad in the same midfield now.

He might as well have been sat next to me on the sofa. What an awful performance. We passed it back more than we passed it forward. Our discipline was poor as well. Without Sammi there’s no goal threat at all.

They look like a football team, we look like 11 lads who’ve just met up for a kick about on a Sunday morning after a Saturday night on the piss !

Shocking. We’re making them look like Real Madrid. Every player is off the pace. Have we put two passes together yet ?

There’s a long article in my paper today about what the writer sees as a crunch point in the game. We’d just got back into the match at 1-1 and we had a throw in well inside the Spain half. Walker was taking it and I must admit I was thinking “ let’s see if we can repeat the throw in that led to that goal earlier in the comp”. What happens was he thinks about it for ages and then throws it back to Stones, who’s put under pressure, he puts it back to Pickford. Pickford launched it down field and we didn’t see the ball again for ages after that.

Not only do we not win, we don’t even look like winning.

Possibly, I feel that Newcastles owners would like somebody more high profile.

I always thought he was worth a goal start. I never went into a game thinking we were going to lose when he was in goal for us.

When I saw him play he looked a real handful but 3 goals in 61 games says he’s not a finisher.
