Both of those ( Gilliver and Britt ) were really good players prior to getting injured before we signed them. A bit like Martin Dahlin. The Gilliver signing fiasco led to mandatory fitness tests for football league players. We even got some money back as a result of the case.

I don’t think he likes the physical contact that jumping with close marking opponents involves. He can jump fine if he’s not opposed. Maybe he wants to maintain his “ good looks “. Regarding the rest of his game - he doesn’t sense opportunities , he doesn’t gamble on defensive errors or ‘Keeper slip ups, and he’s nearly always on his heels when the ball does arrive.
