We’d be ok if we could get the injured guys back out there. I can’t remember a time when we had so many players out for months at a time.

I don’t think anybody is “ writing him off “. As I said earlier all things being equal he would be behind Gally, Ennis and Dolan for a place in the team so pretty unlikely to be getting much game time. With all those players probably missing on Saturday he should get a start. Let’s see how we go on.

If everybody was fit he probably wouldn’t even make our bench. So it’s a bit early to say he’s made the grade.

It’s going to wreck our season if we can’t get some of the injured guys back asap. That’s almost a full team out injured. In the modern game your bench is as important as your first 11. Last nights bench was beyond weak. You need to be able to rest players on 70 minutes, especially if you’re going well. Flogging them for the full 90 minutes twice a week is only going to lead to more injuries. Looking down that list I’d forgotten all about Ennis and Hedges ! What happened to Gilsenan ? He looked quite promising.

He was equally at fault for the first , he came out way too far, too soon. He should have left it to the back four to deal with. 3 and 4 were hardly thunderbolts. If that had have been a Rovers keeper I would have been fuming.

It’s a shame for Dack, he could have been a contender but for really bad luck.

That’s the difference between Travis and players like Nicky Reid. They didn’t say much but if you crossed the line they would have you at some point in the game.

When I saw the bench I feared the worst, I’d not seen most of them play for the first team. They must have had about 10 games between them. That’s why we fell away at 3/4 time, hardly any game changers to bring on. Your bench is crucial today and basically we haven’t really got one.

Well Gally wasn’t playing ……..

We’re really scraping the barrel with that bench. Most of them have hardly played for the first team ever. It’s a vital part of the modern game.
