    Hi Herbie, I see Renrag hasn’t posted since he took offence over me describing Tronstad as a “ shortarse “ . I didn’t mean to be offensive to vertically challenged blokes and I’m only 5’8” myself. I thought he was a decent poster and I wouldn’t like to be the cause of him leaving the board. Could you possibly reach out to him and say I’m willing to apologise if needs be.

    The first time I went to the old “ Shay “ in Halifax I was amazed to see the the quadrant by the corner flags was turf on boards sat on house bricks. That was so they could take them away for the speedway riders ! You definitely needed one leg longer than the other to take corners there.

    When I did the ground tour we had a walk around the pitch and it was pointed out to me the step up at the Darwen end Jack Walker Stand side.

    Just reading the reports from yesterday. Luton had 5 players booked in their game, our neighbours had 1. That tells it’s own story. Moyes was being kind to them after the game, just like every manager has been to us - when they’ve won.

    Just reading a report of the Luton game - “ the outstanding Chiedozie Ogbene “ gets a mention. We should have been in for this lad a year ago. Then a bit further on in the report we have “ the outstanding Thomas Kaminski “. Grr.

    They’ve certainly got a decision to make shortly. Stick or twist. Stick and relegation is a real possibility, twist and who knows ? They may have a chance with the right bloke. I believe they have Sheff Utd at home next. Anything less than a win in that game and the new Pep will be on his way I expect.

    I really hope so. My worry is it’s becoming apparent that our style of play is more suited to a counter attacking game than dominating play. That makes scoring first more vital than ever.

    He got a bit lucky there. I thought the keeper did well to just get a toe to the ball and push him out wider than he would have liked. The defender should have done better on the line as well but we’ll take it every day.
