  1. The way the club is run from the top means we’ll never be able to hold on to anyone worthwhile for long. Be that players, back room staff, or managers. There’s no culture, no values, no nothing running the club. If he does go - make it soon so we can can get in a replacement.
  2. He also sorted out Jansen’s game.
  3. Great version in the film “ Blow Up”. Jeff Beck - Rollin’ And Tumblin ‘
  4. The Rolling Stones - The Singer Not The Song
  5. Yeah, he’s got great balance. I’m impressed most by his decision making. It’s instant and he rarely gets it wrong.
  6. It’s also handy that you have a guy receiving the ball from the back four that you’re confident in his ability not to lose the ball all the time.
  7. When my mum was pregnant with my sister she had mate who was going to give birth at the roughly the same time. Her mates pregnancy went on longer than the normal 9 months and when the child was eventually born she was suffering from that horrible condition. She was one of the first recognised cases, if not the first. The poor kid suffered terribly and died quite young. The was in the early 1960’s when the treatment hardly existed.
  8. I used to think that about Tugay but we had him in a role were he rarely got into the last third of the pitch.
  9. He’s not as mobile as Bell. Not many players were/are. He covered every blade of grass. We tried to sign him in the relegation season of 1965-66 but he chose Div 2 Man City instead. Being fair to him they were on the way up and we were on the way down. For me he’s more like Gordon Cowans before all the injuries.
  10. Waste of time him going there, unless he likes sea fishing ?
  11. The Coasters - Riot In Cell Block Number 9
  12. I don’t know to be honest. Do you hang on and wait for the first Premier League job to become vacant ? He won’t be stuck for money to pay the mortgage ! That’s for sure.
  13. In todays “ Gossip “ it’s suggested the Leicester are looking at Potter to take over as their next manager.
  14. We haven’t got a playing style that I recognise. The Jansen/Duff/Dunn promotion team had style.
  15. Rockpile - If Sugar Was As Sweet As You
  16. And they’ll still be looking to strengthen that squad in the summer. Who did we buy when we won it ? That kid from West Ham who’s name I’ve alteady forgotten !
  17. It’d be Stoke City all over again. Jones wants players who are prepared to graft 120% . We don’t have anything like enough players who fit that bill. They’d just play to get him sacked asap same as the under achievers at Stoke. Look elsewhere. To be honest I think the manager who could have real success at Ewood doesn’t exist. The task is too great.
  18. Great touch and vision.Like all top players he knows exactly what he’s going to do with the ball before it actually arrives.
  19. Not for me matey. I think he’s had his day.
  20. One of the more obvious replacements just went to QPR.
  21. I though I read somewhere that they asked a fan about signing Rhodes !
  22. If it’s not Feyenoord it’ll be somewhere else. I don’t think the guy is in it at Rovers for the long run. Anywhere else the board would already have feelers out for the next guy. With the Chicken Chokers it’s “ next season is miles off, chill out, we’ll get around to it one day. When’s the cricket starting ? “.
  23. I’d never get that desperate.
  24. We’re the wrong sort of club for Jones. We’re similar to Stoke and to an extent Southampton where he failed. Too many players/employees at the clubs on Easy Street. Jones works better with hungry players who actually want to win things.
