  1. I don’t hate him but I don’t like him much.
  2. I agree with a lot of that but without the two big lads ( Gally and BBD ) defending corners will be a lot harder. I’ve long since given up the idea of actually scoring from a corner- or a free kick for that matter.
  3. I’m in a quandary also. Do I have another nice day ruined by going up to my son’s house to watch the game or do I go out for a pint with my drinking buddy ? It’s not the losing that pisses me off. I was in a good mood after the Sheff Utd game because we’d put in a real performance and just come up short. It’s the couldn’t care less, uninterested, careless attitude that rears its head at Rovers. Have this lot no pride or self respect ? I’m just tired of seeing us out enthused and out run by other teams.
  4. Hall And Oates - Private Eyes ( Are Watching You )
  5. I agree. Nyambe was the most difficult fullback to play against that we’ve had for years. He was quick, strong and could tackle. How we never managed to improve his final ball or his heading ability is a bit of a mystery. Before anybody says “ Yes but his positioning was too near the centre halves “ - nobody in football goes out thinking “ I fancy playing nearer to the centre half today “. Even the guys playing for” The Brown Cow “ play where they’re told to play by whoever runs the team. If they don’t they get dropped.
  6. It doesn’t matter who we sign, within a month or so they’ll have slipped in the Venkie induced malaise that pervades Ewood Park. For anything to really change we need the Chicken Chokers to be gone.
  7. He wasn’t bad going forward, the problem was next to no end product when he got forward.
  8. Jimmy Radcliffe - Long After Tonight Is All Over
  9. The Soul Brothers Six - Some Kinda Wonderful
  10. What people call a “ Free Hit “, as was the Leicester game.
  11. I think so. It wasn’t so much that he made a balls of it - it was how far out he played the ball.
  12. Yeah I remember one recently. A simple throw in play - you throw the ball to my feet and I side foot a soft pass into your feet. Gally side footed it into touch and missed the thrower by about 6 ft !
  13. I think “ Up side Down “ was being sarcastic. I’d swap places with Bolton tomorrow.
  14. It depends on how much money we have to spend but how many of the existing squad do you think could cope at Prem level ?
  15. Archie Bell And The Drells - Here I Go Again.
  16. Easy - we don’t go up they all get another season poncing around. We go up and quite a few don’t.
  17. It’s a must. Line ‘em all up on training ground - “ Anybody who does fancy busting a gut in this game, go and get changed now “.
  18. Hedges or Thomas out wide right and Brererton out wide left is a luxury we can’t afford when we are getting over run in central midfield.
  19. It’s obviously a doss at Rovers. When we have a “ free hit “ like Leicester away we can play. When the pressure is on like yesterday we just don’t fancy it. Nothing will change - business as usual - nothing to see here.
  20. No, I’d be trying it out.
  21. Like I’ve said a thousand times - what do we do in training ? That’s the place to try these ideas out. As far as I’m concerned we’ve been light in midfield most of the time. If we can’t have quality in there we need quantity.
  22. Yep, we need more in midfield. That’s were the game is won and lost most of the time.
