I haven’t seen the incident in question but I have seen plenty of cards this season for incidents that wouldn’t get a card in the past. Both codes are rightly concerned about the effects of head injuries.
We had Ashes fever in 2005. Even people who weren’t previously interested in cricket got involved. Interest was at an all time high in my experience. Than the powers that be sold cricket to SKY.

We all are. I’ve recently got my grandson interested in Rovers. I need to maintain his interest, take him to games etc. His dad is already a fan but can’t make it to games apart from the odd match. If it wasn’t for my grandson I’d be walking away and I first walked onto Ewood in 1961.
