At the moment our centre midfield is weak and that’s were lots of games are won and lost. What we have at the moment is all of a muchness, they can all run a bit, head it a bit, tackle a bit, pass it a bit. What we really need somebody who can create chances. IE a Berkovic style player.

Yeah Emerton probably had his best game for us in that match. He looked like a World beater. I remember watching him play for Australia in central midfield before he came to Rovers. He was the best player on the pitch, so we played him out wide.

BBD won’t play up front. If he was going to do it he’d have done it by now. His strength is running from deep wide areas with the ball. Not playing with his back to goal.
