Who would you rather have playing out wide left, Scott Sellars or Sam Gallagher ? That old left footer playing on the left and a right footer playing on the right seemed to work ok back then.

Bravery on the pitch comes in different forms. I never saw Berkovic win many tackles but he’d always show for the ball no matter who or how many were marking him, how close they were, and where he was on the pitch. He never hid when the pressure was on. There are players in our team that equate bravery with kicking the ball away or arguing with the ref. They are cowards and we all know who they are.

There’s an interesting article about Dyche and Burnley in todays “ Guardian “. What caught my eye was that fact that although they “ put it about a bit “ as we used to say, they’ve only had two red cards in five years. We’ve had 5 this season already apparently. You don’t win many games playing with 10 men, we certainly don’t.

The players have got to take some of the blame Chaddy. I’ve worked for some complete bell ends in my working career but I never thought once of giving less than my best. The “ Hilton” chain have a budget range of hotels apparently. They’re building at least one ten story hotel in the centre of Rochdale right now. Could be they’re building two. Somebody else is building multi story apartments next to the hotels. Rochdale is no better than Blackburn in this respect, the demand must be there.

I rather have ALK than the Chokers. As I said earlier at least we’d know what chip shop they go in.
