Wether you like it or not teams that get promoted see those games out one way or another from 2-0 up. -

He needs to watch some old film of Jimmy Greaves. He was a master in those situations. If he had a one on one you could get ready for the kick off again. -

Not when your goalkeeper can't move for bodies. Get your quickest forward on the halfway line, Armstrong's not going to be much use in defence anyway. -

Damian Duff, Matt Jansen, Andy Cole all in one body. Possibly the best pure goalscorer I ever saw. -
Maybe when Dack was playing other players were looking for something special from him to turn a game. Now he's missing possibly more of them are taking responsibility.

I think Bennett has been carrying an injury recently. -
Yes I read that. It was such a shame he got injured after all that effort. I still think he's the sort of striker that needs three good chances to score a goal but if he puts himself about those chances will come.
-
That's the bottom line. Until he can reach the level he was at before the injury I can't see him going anywhere.

Or losing to Luton and Charlton at home ! -
Samuel was never going to be the next Benni McCarthy but he could develop into the next Jason Roberts. Nothing wrong with that at this level. He has the physical attributes, size, strength and pace but in the past I thought his attitude left a bit to be desired. He seemed to get discouraged easily. Maybe the serious injury has focused his mind on what life could be like out of the game.

Listening to Radio Lancs it sounds like the Blackpool lads were busting a gut for Dunny. I like Joey Barton - a Robbie Savage with ability. -
Cunningham, so good they named him twice !

Don't forget he brought Andy Irvine and Rob Kelly in also. I thought that appointment was the only logical thing the Chicken Chokers have done in 10 years. -

From what bits I've seen of Maddison he's got a similar style to Dack. -
Yes, Samuel showed him how to do it.

After he miss controlled the ball from the goal keeper it took him a while to realise he needed to get involved again and press the keeper. Even then he was pretty half hearted in the challenge. Luckily the keeper sliced it straight back to Samuel. A real penalty box predator would have put that away first time. Regarding the pen I think the keeper just about got the ball first but anywhere else on the pitch that would probably been a free kick for reckless play.

That's what struck me watching his highlights video. He spends very little time in the penalty area. You won't score many goals playing out wide all the time

I watched them in the FA Cup against Arsenal. In the first half they over ran Arsenal and played really well. It's been downhill ever since then.

Well that'll set a Rovers record for fielding the two tallest wingers ever. Just thinking back to when we had Dougie at 5' 7" and Joe Haverty at 5' 3" on the wings.
