I've not seen a full game since the Wigan game but if that was our players " giving a shit " I wouldn't like to see us when we weren't trying. I keep banging on about this but we get out enthused by our opponents 9 games out of 10.

Tony Mowbray Discussion

Don't get out of bed, that's safer still. -
It'll happen with this lot in charge. It's just a matter of when. We've not had enough to pay the electric bill in the past but we pulled through. I was proud of Rovers when we were playing the Darlington's and Chesterfields, I'm not proud of Rovers at the moment. We're verging on an embarrassment.

If you rolled them both together you wouldn't have a player capable of making half of the impact Dack has. -

They've seen their £12 million " investment " turn into a handful of magic beans. -
I'd swap places with Bolton tomorrow if that meant we were no longer in the death grip of the Chicken Chokers. They are a cancer in the body of Blackburn Rovers and we will never thrive under their ownership.

The lad running at him stood him up and then went past him. He got Magloire square on instead of on the half turn, lots of fast centre halves aren't that quick on the turn. -
The third choice must be playing for Rochdale then.

I watched the brief highlights of Accy v Rochdale. He was either playing right back or right centre back of a back 3. Got turned inside out on one occasion that should have led to a goal. The usual story of a small nippy player getting the better of a tall gangling player. If he plays on Saturday against Newcastle I'll give you a full report as I've got tickets. Premier League opponents will be a good test for him. Apparently Preston are in for one of the 'Dales midfield players and Forest are in for another one, Camps, who we were interested in a while back. -
Championship season 2019-20

Especially so given the teams we were playing. -
Somebody needs to tell him you can only play one in goal at any given time.

Britt had been a top young player at West Ham but had done his knee so badly he could only jump for headers off one leg. He was a panic buy when we missed out on Colin Bell. . Gilliver had been another outstanding young striker but came with a disc injury that handicapped him so badly that ultimately he had a disc fusion operation. I know that because I used to see the same osteopath that he did. I believe Rovers wanted him not to have the op and just retire so they could get the insurance dosh. He wanted to carry on. After the op he had very little flexibility in his lower back and he wasn't the same player again. Ironically, John Byrom, who we let go to sign Gilliver scored goals galore for Bolton subsequently. At least the two of them could point to injuries handicapping them.

The Godlike Genius of Charlie Mulgrew

The way we are fixed for injury prone centre halves/defenders I'd have him back. He'd be better than having to play Smallwood or Evans at centre half for instance Magloire is back playing for Rochdale. He's been starting at right back for them. When does his loan end ? I've got tickets for the Rochdale v Newcastle FA Cup game on Saturday and I was hoping to do a bit of scouting. -
There just one thing missing in this master plan - The player concerned needs to have some ability to start with.
-
I'd certainly drop him for the cup game on Saturday.

He can't say he wasn't warned either. Brereton was deeply un-impressive on that video and Gallagher had done nothing in his time away from Rovers. -
I'm spitting feathers - Wigan and Big Club at home, Hudds and Forest away. 10 points from those games would not have been too much to ask from a half decent Rovers team.

If that was a decision I'd have made in my old line of work I'd have been fired and I would have had no complaints at all. -
If Freeman had have been signed I doubt that we would have gone anywhere near Brererton.

Permanently yes but he signed on loan at the start of that season. -

No. I'd say 16months or a season and a half. -

Frank Large would do for me up front at the moment. Haynes was a class act even at the end of his career. Super Mac was another converted left back. Maybe we should give Williams a run out up front ! -

Another beef of mine with some Rovers players is that they'll get in a tricky situation on the ball and then they'll pass the ball to somebody else who's in a worse position than they were. Good teams only do that occasionally, we do it all the time. -

I'm old fashioned but I like to see right sided players playing on the right and left sided players on the left. Gallagher in the middle is where I thought we'd signed him to play.
