I can't wait for this game. I can see us firing out of the blocks and getting one in the first 10 mins. Hopefully then we don't sit back, because if we do it will be 3-1 to the arse. But if we don't sit back and play an open - free playing game i can see 2-1. Consolation goal for them with a very nervy 5 minutes of injury time. Bellamy and Emerton for us! Great to see we're taking the non-premiership games more seriously now. Even though i don't like Emerton that much its good to hear him having a good game, hopefully he can continue this with our World Cup qualifiers against Uruguay (U R GAY as my mates say). Well its another satdy night over here in OZ where i can venture out in my rovers clothing....... I'm expecting an interesting game with a rovers 2-1 win I can't see us holding chelsea to a clean sheet lampard for them from a dodgy free kick decision. been advised over here in Oz that Tait is going to take Gillespies spot... and that McGrath is undergoing treatment for an injured elbow.... anyone got any updates from Pommy land???

i think its a great signing. he was my first choice in front of benni cause he is proven in the PL. I just hope we can supply him with more chances that we were creating for our front line last season. If we are successful in doing that then i can see him bagging quite a few goals and being up there in the top 5 goalscorers.

Whilst watching the games over here on saturday the hosts were mentioning the aussie players that were involved in games being played. Graeme Arnold (AUS assistant manager) mentioned Lucas Neill - instead of talking about the game though, he went on to say that when Lucas was over here for the recent friendlies that he told him that Newcastle were interested in him for next year. Anyone else heard anything on this??

what a great result......great to see stead back on the scoresheet. From what i could see he was making some good runs off the ball in the first half but the midfield just weren't getting him the ball. Great to see Reid back in the lineup with a great performance. Sparkey has really got the defence playing well.They only had the bent 1on1 and carsley's free kick which should of been a free kick anyway. As an aussie hard to say it but emo might be more comfortable on the bench. But we will see what happens on where he is for the upcoming fixtures. Well it was worth getting up at 3am for the game but the rest of the family didn't appreciate it at around quarter to 5 when the ball hit the back of the net.haha BRING ON THE FOXES
