EXACTLY, well said that man! And lets be honest most decent managers were also decent players in their time. Hughes has worked under some of the best managers around throughout his career, I'd like to think he's picked up on a few of their good points along the way.
-
Do you honestly believe he would top the pole? John Williams is a pole dancer?!?! Blimey, uncle Warburton gets around a bit! Does his missus know he frequents clubs with greying men cavorting round a pole?

Ahhh good to know Palace have a 'Hughsey' on their messageboard too

So Hughes has STILL not really commented on whether or not the Rovers job interests him. He's just told us he's a Welshman really, I'm sure one of Hughesy's sources could have confirmed that to us days ago. Does anyone know what odds we can get on God being the new PNE manager on betfair?
-
I currently stand to win about £20 if Hughes is the new manager, about £100 if it's either Strachan or Dowie, about £150 if its Moyes, and about a grand if it's Martin O'Neill (£2 at odds of 580 on betfair)! There will be some singing in the streets of Sale if Martin O'Neill joins I can tell you. Obviously I lose a bundle if it's anyone else!! It's going to be Keegan I'm afraid to say. He's been seen at the petrol station on Preston New Road..the Samlesbury one I think..oh and he's a good mate of JW. Oh my god, in preston! Have you got a source for this? Does this mean that PNE have tapped God up to be their new manager? If so that's a bloody joke, he's exactly the sort of manager we need right now and if a club of PNE's stature can attract him then we definitely would have been able to. Very annoyed at this news.

You and your sources again! Is the 'guy' more reliable than uncle Warburton and old cousin Hovis? This is genuine. A guy that works at the academy as a coach for the younger players. How the hell would he know? Is John Williams coaching the youth teams now? I'm sure most of us have 'sources' within the club and it's easy to find out a lot of stuff, i.e details on the new kit in the summer for example but I think it's safe to say no-one apart from the board have any idea as to who will be our next manager. With all the 'insider info' you spout on here you're bound to get one right eventually through the laws of averages alone but stop posting drivel to try and look ITK, it doesn't work

I was actually speaking to a guy that works up at the adademy on saturday and he was saying that everyone there says its Hughes who has got the job if he wants it. You and your sources again! Is the 'guy' more reliable than uncle Warburton and old cousin Hovis?

Other clubs have lower wage bills, bigger stadiums and more supporters. We are an ambitious club, with ambitious supporters. We dont just want to 'get by'! Do they? You've seen our latest wage bill then have you? We've slashed our wage bill this summer as you well know. We have a 30k stadium, thats easily enough to maintain a good squad of premiership players (Williams himself has said this). The trouble is our 'fans' don't have the desire to fill that stadium and now you think we should increase ticket prices? The mind boggles! Ambitious supporters? Replace ambitious with 'unrealistic'. For all the good the Jack Walker era did it unfortunately bred a lot of clueless, ungrateful fans. He wanted the club to stand on its own feet, all the foundations are clearly there already............. -

You can't do that!!!!! We won't change the prices for our tickets either so it's just a stupid proposal. We've been spoon-fed for years now and it's time this club stood on its own 2 feet. Other clubs manage to get by without a cash injection from outside sources, so should we. -

Isn't there a ruling against doing that? I know it's been mentioned on here before. If we charge away fans more for sitting in the Darwen end then sitting in the Blackburn end would have to cost the same. -
No but betting has been suspended on betfair, think that's all the evidence we need.
-
Yes, Henning Berg is now Rovers manager, Dwight Yorke his assistant.
-
Hughsey take note

Do you seriously believe everything people say in football?!? Hughes would have been a bit daft to announce he's applying for the Rovers post on the eve of a crucial world cup qualifier. I thought he adnt applied??? What are you on about now numbnuts?

That settles it then! Don't knock him, he knows Chelsea TV insiders too you know?

Is Sam Sneed related to Hughesy in any way?

Calm down lads, theres a meeting at ewwod to discuss rights to the Deanocard™ today, I think SKY are running a feature on it.

Says Junior Jackanory himself
-
Heard from who? I saw Albert Hovis on his delivery rounds earlier and he said it's gonna happen today. His oven-bottom muffins are far better than Warburtons too
-
And did you see HOW he said it the clown?!? Laughing like Everton are a billion light years ahead of us on all fronts!
-
Not exactly. It says they 'believe' he has which is pretty much all they write in the LET these days, they used to deal in facts when Peter White was still about
-
Who told you that? Preston are revealing their new manager before the next game aren't they?
