Felt like Motty actually WANTED the croats to score. How much better the game would have been on sky -
You don't half chose your sources mate Anyone know if the new sports world shop will sell transfer gossip over the counter?

De Pedro's a Spaniard, He wears the blue n white, And Revidge Blue's still crying, Cos Curtis turned out @#/?. And then there's tiny Taylor, The lanky streak of pi$$, Now that's one gormless b^&%$*d That we ain't gonna miss! To the tune of my old man's a dustman. Feel free to add verses I'm off for a meeting
-
Oh for crying out loud, everyone knows Cole is on his way to Leicester in a £100 move. Think before you type will you?!?

De Pedro OOOoooooooooooooOOOOOOOooooooooo De Pedro OOOooooooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOooooooo He comes from sunny Spain More tricks than David Blaine De Pedro OOOOOOooooooooooooOOOOOOOOooooooooooo Tune the tune of that irritating Paddy Vieira song Arsenal sing. Actually no that's @#/? I like it Dave. Over the last few days I've been busy working on a slightly different version. Spoken to McCartney, John, Dylan, Kilmister, the usual types I often turn to at times like this. Basically they reckon if you substitute "He comes from sunny Spain, More tricks than David Blaine" and add.... "He came from Sociedad, He's got a Spanish Dad" We'll be onto a winner. Or maybe not. Yep we're making progress here, maybe our very own Peter Cucumber can add the finishing touches Word of warning though, Revidge Blue has infiltrated a section of pensioners in the Jack walker stand. If De Pedro doesn't shine straight away he's gonna face a barrage of abuse from this lot. I wouldn't like to imagine the consequences of a Steven Carr style outburst on the Spanish new boy. We'll just have to make sure we make enough noise to drown out his chants of "you'll never beat John Curtis".

Probably quite a lot in Russia. But hooliganism is 'the English disease' how dare a Russian try to get in on the act? Where's the calls to ban them from the tournament by all and sundry? -
Apparently they've dropped interest in Neill and switched their attention to 5M rated John Curtis and also the 8M rated Damien Johnson.

To be fair, how many Spaniards have been signed by prem clubs? I'd say Mendieta has been a success this season. Reyes is showing a lot of promise.......
-
Right then........just saying what we know about him, don't know what your problem is with Beattie - if you ever see him on a night out, you'll see how much grief he has to put up with. Just trying to be helpful with a serious post, wont bother in future FYI Beattie was a pisshead in his time here. Used to be a regular every thur/fri/sat and make a tit of himself week in, week out.
-
Maybe it's a 'big problem' like Beattie had? I.e getting ###### up and trying to fight people who'd wipe the floor with you if the bouncers didn't kiss your ass?

Dear oh dear oh dear. Anyone watching Russia/Portugal? A Russian 'hooligan' on the pitch trying to attack the ref due to their keeper being sent off? Can you just imagine if he was English?!?! How much press will this incident get in the morning? -
Fair points mate as usual. But we can't honestly say Pedersen would have answered the problem either. Lets hope (pray) De Pedro becomes a success and in 2 seasons time who knows what sort of left sided options we'll have open to us? We may be in a position to pluck one from our own academy or maybe there'll be a new kid on the block? Keep the faith

A little town north of Toronto.. I am not an ex-pat. Just a fan who needed a squad to pull for and I liked Blackburn back when the Premier League was founded and they finally gave us European footy on the TV here Ahhhhh Toronto, lovely place. I once fell down the stairs on a plane there en-route to Vancouver. Not quite up there with Hudsons Bay in Vancouver but nice all the same. If we could re-locate Ewood in Canada I'd move there tomorrow

Just veering off topic again Whereabouts in Canada you from?

I couldn't possibly comment because I've barely seen him play. I'm just pleased to have a left winger though, one with a god track record makes it that bit sweeter. Will be interesting to see what happens to MGP now. I wonder what Revidge will think?

Correct. Souness shows no interest in cup matches. Anyone who saw the players going through the motions at St Andrew's last season will know that. The bottom line for Souness is that his job and overinflated salary depends on survival the Premiership. Anything that may jeopardise that, such as cup ties, are regarded by him as irrelevant. How do we explain the worthy cup win then and SF at Old trafford?!? The Arsenal side weren't exactly ram packed with first teamers, the Boro game was a drab and rather fortunate affair, and the rest were non-prem opposition.........ditto the other season where the biggest side we played was Wigan before Man U Even poor sides can sometimes stumble through rounds........lookm at Bolton this season odds, Souey really looked like he didn't give a toss at the final whistle too Anyway, did I mention the tinpot trophy? I was referring to the UEFA Cup. I was replying to Jim in the first instance. Hey thats right that tinpot cup that gives you a place in the incredibly important UEFA cup! Souey's comments are constantly blown out of context on here. He keeps saying the premiership is our number one priority, it has to be! No cup (including the super important UEFA cup) will EVER take priority over the premiership. -

The way some people are harping on you'd think we'd ASKED the LET to publish this report!!!! If Souness is asked the question about how much money he's got, do you want him to lie?!? That'd ###### me off a LOT more than him telling the truth. -

An unbelievably selfish attitude that is. But it probably reflects the feelings of a lot of our supporters - oh I will bugger off now that the Walker money has dried up. It is time for fans to repay Jack Walker at the time when the club needs our support more than ever. Absolute nail on the head style post there mate Makes you sick. -

We got told this a few weeks before we signed Andy Cole too Really not sure what to believe when we make statements like this anymore. Hopefully it IS a smokescreen, but I won't be overly surprised if we don't have any cash, it's just a sign of the times.....
