Anyone wanting Rovers to lose a game needs to go and play on the M6, end of, unless it means the inbreds down the road being negatively impacted, and even that is hard! It is a horrible, horrible waiting game for us to be rid of these owners, but have to cling on to the hope that one day they will be gone, and we hopefully are able to move forward. So, come Saturday, when "Big" club roll in to town and the referee blows his whistle, I don't give a dam about anything else but Rovers trying to win a game and send them packing. Rovers to win 5-1, courtesy of 5 different scorers being Captain Dom, useless Hedges, couldn't hit a barn door Gueye, uninterested Tronstaad and "big" club keeper palming a long throw in to his own goal.

Only just posting as I was fuming during and after the game, and needed to calm down a bit. We had a lot of possession and did nothing with it, the forwards had no service or creativity to give us any real opportunity of scoring. Our set pieces were terrible, and we had a lot of big bodies to target, what do they do on the training ground? Player wise, Trondstad was very disappointing, nowhere near his levels, De Neve has lots of heart but showed little ability, Henriksen was poor the few times the team actually tried to use him, Hedges ineffective. David Webb is a disgrace, not the reason we lost the game at all, but when their players collided and ball fell to us, he stopped the game and gave them the ball, when Miller was caught he didn’t stop the game until our players and manager were screaming at him, he allowed them to get away with far too much. I was pleased we were looking more comfortable on the ball from the back, just disappointing that when it went to the midfield and wide players we were out of ideas. Oh, and if I hear the word transition again……

Does anyone really think that the club will spend money on another striker after two came in last year, to play in one position, and having Tyjon and Leonard on the books at this point? We would have to move on one of the two first choice strikers to be able to get another in surely, with most likely scenario being a loan striker coming in with Leonard leaving one way or the other.

Baath was also very injury prone prior to last season, chances he would go so well again this season at his age? I know it is easy to criticise everything going on, and I am far from happy with things, but can see the reasons behind some things, especially when you consider they are trying to cut costs, doesn't mean I agree, and as I said leaves us thin if one of the 3 main defenders gets an injury.

I personally have no issue with Baath being let go when Carter and Wharton are fit, both played next to nothing for us last season, the issue is if they can stay fit as if they do then surely Wharton with Hyam is first choice and Carter as back up to one of them, also possible for him to play full back or one of 3 at the back. The problem is we have little back up beyond that other than O'Riordan, so something is needed or we are reliant on kids.

The idea behind a price change is to encourgae earlier renewal or purchase to advance the cash received, or peoples circumstances changing, or people having too long to think about what a shit show it is. From a business perspective getting the money in earlier is always a good idea to remove risk but also benefit from interest etc, especially in the low season for income when no matches are being played. I have used something similar in businesses I have been a finance leader to encourgae customers to pay quicker, say normal terms are 60 days but offer a cash discount if they pay in 15 days (2%) or 30 days (1%). The problem with a football club, esepcially one like ours, is that disposable income is not massive for most and in the summer with holidays, kids off school etc, it can get eaten up a lot quicker so having 300-500 quid to spend is tough many at this time of the year, especially if trying to justify it to the better half at the minute!

I was in the front row with my Dad, my mums family are from Liverpool and many season ticket holders who borrowed Rovers scarfs, hats and tops off us. We celebrated with them after in Old Swan with all the family including some champagne my Dad had saved for a special occasion.

Significant! I suppose it is subjective as something is significantly more than nothing, but we’ve spent significantly less than we have raised, so spin that you shower of ####’s!

Not done much wrong? He booked two of ours for nothing then gave a free kick for a dive ffs.

We have been absolutely terrible, but this ref is clueless, Preston players conning him in to free kicks and yellows before that red card, which was probably right but he caused it the prick.

That was an awful 45 minutes and we were lucky to go in nil nil against ten men. Need to change to up second half, get Gueye, Cantwell and the baby Saka on. Oh, and if anyone knows the prick who through that object from our fans give him a smack.

One thing I haven’t seen mentioned, are the club not doing a bus to the game? Given the extra money they’ll make from the game maybe they could have put some extra busses on to the game, not free but at cost. They can’t be the only ones who don’t know public transport is a shambles.

It seems incompetence follows me round! My now local team also don’t know how to complete a transfer, so it wasn’t just that useless lot down at Ewood.

I get all the frustration with the position we are in when looking to sign players, a 2nd/3rd division German player isn’t exactly inspiring but we’ve had hits and misses from all levels over the years. Some bad signings from top divisions or highly rated players that I was expected much more from over the years: Murphy, Etuhu, a bunch of Portuguese players, Barry Ferguson, Giorgios Donnis, to name a few off the top of my head. some good signings out of nowhere, lower or reserve divisions: Chris Samba, Sammie Szmodics, Ryan Nelsen, Nzonzi, even Friedel! My point is we have to cut our cloth, historically we had a strong network of scouts and managed to pluck some gems that made us a lot of money. I don’t have confidence in this lot to get near those levels, but I’ll cling on to the hope that someone could come good, feint hope, but hope still.

There’s a few fruit cakes on here and some comments take the biscuit. I feel we have a wafer thin squad and need to beef it up a bit, our keeper has butter fingers and I’d prefer we player with a pear of strikers. Hope I didn’t make an Eton Mess of that.
