  1. radio lancashire will have it on. if you're not in the area try..... http://www.bbc.co.uk/lancashire/local_radio/index.shtml
  2. SHANGHAI SPORTS is a very poor quality stream. you'll see more on the radio.
  3. the club should take a bit of the blame. there are enough sky channels and several PPV ones. millwall got their uefa game screened by bravo! we only have 700 tickets for the game. it's down to poor marketing,......... again
  4. in regards to luck, all teams have good and bad luck. rovers finished 6th due to their planning and application.
  5. anyone who didnt read the eurosport article properly!
  6. i'll go on record now as saying plastic pitches should be completely outlawed. (reminds me of playing oldham in the 80's and don makay doing a 'david pleat jog' across the pitch, to thank the fans) rovers should be okay, they've practised on our indoor t'astroturf pitch. red bull 1-1 rovers ooijer OG friedel (from a goal-kick).
  7. i'm amazed these 'bedwetters' can even switch their tv's on!
  8. exactly right. let arsenal and chelsea squabble over the idiot. it doesnt concern us.
  9. undeniably. the refs wont change. they'll have to come up with better excuses.
  10. see you in january then, admiral. doesnt sound promising. bet pompey are glad they didnt spend 5.5 M on him (he'dve failed the medical anyway).
  11. nothing comes close. absolutely horrific. sadly, my abiding memory of simon garner is of him pinging the crossbar in that game! i was 9 at the time, and all the nonsense and injustice of that day has scarred me for life. recent rovers dont know how good we've got it.
  12. i agree the record looks poor, but that's been down to a lack of creativity from the midfield. it'll all change when ped returns to form, reid to fitness and with the maestro returning. bentley is also improving with every game and is starting to look a threat. i think the strikers we have will score once chances are created.
  13. i cant believe all these doom and gloom merchants kicking up panic. there were a few sat near me on saturday, i got through to them in the end. funnily enough, they never seemed top watch the game, they were more interested in winding up the sheff utd fans. on the game itself, all that was lacking was our final ball. pedersen was awful. it amazed me that he wasnt replaced , as we had sergio and gally on the bench. however, having a bad game didnt stop him trying to score from EVERY CORNER. i still need convincing over ooijer. he was out muscled too often (one 1st half slip shouldve been punished, but hulse missed a sitter). i'm bemused as to how he fails to get any power into his defensive headers, he nods clear giving possession back to the opposition. friedels display.... i cant pay tribute in words! i was encouraged by jeffers' display. he looked lively and made several clever runs. tugay was fantastic. we look a much better side when he's orchestrating. nonda will be a huge asset when he gets up to speed. he's a beast and makes kuqi look puny! i was dumfounded by dean's refereeing. sheff utd mounted pressure in the last 15 mins and it was wholly down to his rank bad decisions. neither 3 were pens. dean and his assistants should be banished to league 2 for a few wks (at the very least). i'm perplexed as to why we are the only team to get punished over this 'new' holding rule. there seems to be a conspiracy against us. we've only had 4 games and 3 of them have been dominated by astonishing refereeing decisions. i can only deduce ---- town teams are not wanted in the premiership. message to the whingers is.... do you not remember the start to last season ? we won 1 out of 6 and were playing 1 man up and going nowhere. things can change quickly in football and there's a long way to go.
  14. double standards, to support your argument! ?
  15. i'm on one of them, number 6, i think! quite suprised 7 are all full usually rovers only ever seem to take about 3 coaches!
  16. there's time for him to change his mind. smallprint:- ''Lawro reserves the right to revise his predictions, based on any late team news.''
  17. it'll have been exagerated, but, with gray or his agent refusing to comment, one-side is definetly admitting guilt. there shouldnt be a furore about it. everyone has a bad night on the beer.... every now and again.
  18. with nelson out, todd situation and ooijer needing time to adapt, it's another bit of schrewd business.
  19. todd and zurab would be more competant. we'll require their experience to deal with sheff u's direct and aggressive style.
  20. i'd go so far as to suggest this is MUST WIN, and rovers will... 1-3, benni 3!
  21. --> QUOTE(Ste B @ Sep 6 2006, 13:18 ) 442600[/snapback] Or use Ant and Dec's classic ON THE BALL It's Nelsen to Lucas, Lucas to Emo Emo to Savage, Savage To Reid Reidy to Morten, Morten to Benny Benny to Nonda to nod He's NONDA goal He's NONDA goal He's NONDA goal He's NONDA goal He's NONDA goal He's NONDA goal He's NONDA goal [gets coat] i'd like to see the drummers try and accompany it. i'll test the water and start it at brammall lane!
  22. worryingly, not many wealthy english fans seem interested in purchasing clubs and , if they are, they are being outbid by foreign businessmen. foreign businessmen have cottoned on that buying an english premier league club could by them respectability and adulation and find existing chairmen are willing to sell and often inflate the price. if this trend continues, rovers are bound to be left behind (financially). this will make if almost impossible for rovers to not only compete, but to survive in the premiership. here's hoping its a phase, but......
