  1. that's the one.
  2. i quite like it, but it doesnt look dramatically different to last seasons. the worst home shirt - must be :- http://www.sporting-heroes.net/football-he....asp?HeroID=343 with an honourable mention to :- http://www.sporting-heroes.net/football-he...asp?HeroID=7286 the best:- cant find any photos, but the 'argentina blue' shirt 1990/1991.
  3. ptsmth 0-2 rovers. MGP and roberts.
  4. i agree with you, but we're not exactly struggling for cover at CB. the same cant be said for the RB position though. i'd be astonished if neill plays as a CB at pompey. EDIT!!!! injuries permitting.
  5. i noticed yesterday, that there's been a couple of plasmas installed at the back of the riverside. however,it might only be one now, there was an almighty crash at the beginning of the 2nd half!
  6. town teams arent wanted in the premiership, i reckon we'd just get relegated. i noticed a heated scuffle, but didnt see todd poke anyone between the eyes (that said i didnt notice ped was wearing number 12 ). in my opinion, todd and nelson are our best pairing. i may be alone, but i dont see lucas neill as being the greatest centre half the world has ever seen. then again i'm not australian.
  7. danny hay, ex of leeds. NZ were embarassing at times. their touch and technique was awful. as for their big centre forward, they might as well as played an elephant up front. i say this with confidence..... NZ wont make a world cup, in my lifetime (unless they host 1).
  8. youre right. he missed a pen against fulham, in 04-05 and hasnt taken 1 since.
  9. you're right, my eyes must be going. roberts wore 11 and kuqi came on wearing 9. 1.friedel 2. axe 3. gray 4.todd 5 neill 6. bentley 7.reid 8.savage 10.mccarthy 11.roberts 12.ped.
  10. i agree with your comments on NZ and we mustnt get carried away by pre-season performances. (emerton looked a world beater in his first pre-season). a few comments on the game:- i think we'd be more solid with lucas at RB. reidy's passing and crossing were abysmal. he wouldnt of looked out of place in the NZ side. benni was impressive. his movement was excellent. he's a lot cleverer technically than i had realised. roberts also put in a good shift and linked up well with benni. both players can hold the ball up and also look a threat when the ball is played over the top. overall, the signs are encouraging and i'm optamistic for the season ahead. i hope it lasts.
  11. number 11. although it was 1-11 today. benni's squad number will be 17.
  12. bugger! cheers for setting it up though, gull.
  13. about time. beckham is only valuable in marketing and sponsorship terms, so he will return to the squad.
  14. SEX PISTOLS - pretty vacant.
  15. that's cos you havent been on here long. it's regular discussion point on here and in the stands of ewood.
  16. i'd trust him more than 'arry. to put it mildly, the guy is corrupt. his foreign transfer dealings have enabled him to have an #8M pound house. it pays to be dodgy.
  17. me too. maybe it's the way you spoke to her, abbey ?
  18. i've had a bit of a re-think, capt. i remember, we had decent crowds in 97/98 (in hodgson's 1st season) and we got 15,000 for the psv friendly. crowds have been dwindling since 98/99.
  19. hypothtical. for the record i think prices will drop in the next few years. my gripe is, as i've mentioned previously, some people use pricing as an excuse. going back to everton, i take it JW upper central is #39.00 and cheaper around the rest of the ground ? the simple solution is to sit somewhere else. the JW upper central is hardly ever full anyway! Capt, i'll bet everton will bring 5000, we'll see on the night. i can see where you're coming from, (in reference to ticket prices), but i cant see decrease in price leading to an increase rovers fans attending ewood. we've never had great crowds.
  20. go points, well made. there's really nothing more rovers can do.
  21. i agree wholeheartedly, brian. the long and the short of it, is that the vast majority of blackburn public dont care about rovers (enough). i dont agree with the spiralling ticket prices, and genuinely sympathise with the loyal fans who are who are being priced out but it's easy for people to use that as an excuse (whilst they're down the pub watching rovers, on al jezeera, and probably spending more).
  22. i have done on 4 occasions. in fairness, they did get moved from the riverside. i still dont think the fans forum should be afraid to speak to the drummer about it though. they're there to discuss issues arent they ?
  23. --><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(ste b @ Aug 7 2006, 14:28 ) 432882[/snapback]</div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec--> VERY briefly touched upon but glossed over because the drummer is on it. I don't think theres been a Fans Forum this year, so the chances are that the clubs lost interest in it. ban the drummer from the FF aswell then. seriously though, the topic came up, but wasnt discussed properly as the drummer was present opportunity missed -i'd say.
