how is reidy ? -
i agree with you, but we're not exactly struggling for cover at CB. the same cant be said for the RB position though. i'd be astonished if neill plays as a CB at pompey. EDIT!!!! injuries permitting.

i noticed yesterday, that there's been a couple of plasmas installed at the back of the riverside. however,it might only be one now, there was an almighty crash at the beginning of the 2nd half! -
town teams arent wanted in the premiership, i reckon we'd just get relegated. i noticed a heated scuffle, but didnt see todd poke anyone between the eyes (that said i didnt notice ped was wearing number 12 ). in my opinion, todd and nelson are our best pairing. i may be alone, but i dont see lucas neill as being the greatest centre half the world has ever seen. then again i'm not australian.

danny hay, ex of leeds. NZ were embarassing at times. their touch and technique was awful. as for their big centre forward, they might as well as played an elephant up front. i say this with confidence..... NZ wont make a world cup, in my lifetime (unless they host 1). -
youre right. he missed a pen against fulham, in 04-05 and hasnt taken 1 since.

i agree with your comments on NZ and we mustnt get carried away by pre-season performances. (emerton looked a world beater in his first pre-season). a few comments on the game:- i think we'd be more solid with lucas at RB. reidy's passing and crossing were abysmal. he wouldnt of looked out of place in the NZ side. benni was impressive. his movement was excellent. he's a lot cleverer technically than i had realised. roberts also put in a good shift and linked up well with benni. both players can hold the ball up and also look a threat when the ball is played over the top. overall, the signs are encouraging and i'm optamistic for the season ahead. i hope it lasts. -

about time. beckham is only valuable in marketing and sponsorship terms, so he will return to the squad. -

i'd trust him more than 'arry. to put it mildly, the guy is corrupt. his foreign transfer dealings have enabled him to have an #8M pound house. it pays to be dodgy.

i've had a bit of a re-think, capt. i remember, we had decent crowds in 97/98 (in hodgson's 1st season) and we got 15,000 for the psv friendly. crowds have been dwindling since 98/99. -

hypothtical. for the record i think prices will drop in the next few years. my gripe is, as i've mentioned previously, some people use pricing as an excuse. going back to everton, i take it JW upper central is #39.00 and cheaper around the rest of the ground ? the simple solution is to sit somewhere else. the JW upper central is hardly ever full anyway! Capt, i'll bet everton will bring 5000, we'll see on the night. i can see where you're coming from, (in reference to ticket prices), but i cant see decrease in price leading to an increase rovers fans attending ewood. we've never had great crowds. -

i agree wholeheartedly, brian. the long and the short of it, is that the vast majority of blackburn public dont care about rovers (enough). i dont agree with the spiralling ticket prices, and genuinely sympathise with the loyal fans who are who are being priced out but it's easy for people to use that as an excuse (whilst they're down the pub watching rovers, on al jezeera, and probably spending more). -
--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(ste b @ Aug 7 2006, 14:28 ) 432882[/snapback]</div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec--> VERY briefly touched upon but glossed over because the drummer is on it. I don't think theres been a Fans Forum this year, so the chances are that the clubs lost interest in it. ban the drummer from the FF aswell then. seriously though, the topic came up, but wasnt discussed properly as the drummer was present opportunity missed -i'd say.
