  1. game at ewood is free to season ticket holders. should be around 14,000 in there then.
  2. mixed opinions. i'm looking forward to seeing how nonda does, if he can recapture his early form- we'll storm up the league. however, like most, i'm disappointed we havent brought in a creative midfielder. i can only presume MH has been thwarted in his attempts or is waiting until jan. i believe MH has faith in bentley and gallagher to support tugay, we rovers fans need to do the same and back MH to get it right. he hasnt let us down so far.
  3. same material as the transfer thread! 2 for the price of 1, no wonder your post count is nearing 4500.
  4. a shakespearian character ? on mido, he'll get his commupance at ewood on 19th of november (maybe only by a select few, its a sky game).
  5. dont worry fife, we'll still have lucas and savage.
  6. finally, some sense! nelsen and zurab are quality centre halves, but todd will be missed.
  7. or the trafford centre. he's always there (well, as often as i am). seriously though, i cant wait to have the maestro back and i bet benni and roberts cant either.
  8. equaliser with 5 mins to go, i was there. 3-1 up and cruising. a certain mr hughes came off the bench to score and caused havoc. i agree with mhead. for me the worst goal is palace's 3rd. i was nine at the time and i'm still to fully recover from the trauma and injustice. george c's referring was bent that day. he didnt return to ewood for a couple of seasons, but when he did he got real abuse (it's the only time i've ever seen a referee booed onto the pitch), and gave rovers 2 penaltys. he must have realised all the money he made could never buy back his sole!
  9. utter rubbish, gav. think you've suffered a bang on the head over the wkend. you thought ooijer had a good game sunday! let me know if you need a lift to casualty.
  10. didnt hughes say he threw the armband in frustration, as he was injured ?
  11. brett's convidence is soaring. the reception he got when his name was read out will have boosted him further. i used to think he was lazy, but looking at him now- seems like it was a confidence thing. the rb slot will remain his, while he's in this form. keep it up, brett.
  12. on the game, i thought rovers controlled the 1st half and were never in danger. i've watched a re-run on sky and ooijer was warned to stop holding only minutes before. i was shocked by his shambolic display. he's always looked calm and collected when i've watched him for PSV. he made several inexplicable errors. i expect him to improve. hope it's just a case of getting used to the fast pace of the PL, otherwise we may have bought the next christian dailly.
  13. dead right, tcj. david prutton (southampton) got a 10 game ban for having a go at a linesman, after he'd been sent off, the other season. i'd say 10 game ban minimum.
  14. thanks jan, i was beginning to think i was alone in having that opinion. then again, as ive already said, i'm not australian.
  15. i was there, he played around 70 mins didnt he ? i remember him taking pot shots at west ham's goal when it was 4-2. surely i havent dreamt it. edit:- according to the bbc's match report, he was subbed after 73 mins. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/fa_cup/4634310.stm
  16. think that was arsenal (h). the axe has always done a good job for us (when he's played in midfield). people say he has to play in a 5, but the last time he played in a 4 was at west ham (in the cup) and, although we lost 4-2, he played very well.
  17. looking good so far, trawden. will i still be able to buy a hard copy at games ? if so any chance of them being sold near the riverside ?
  18. i'm not sure i'll bother, i've been austria loads (my sister used to rep there), but i cant get exited about it. bring on the group stages! it's gonna be a tough tie though
  19. i agree, al and keeping emerton there would boost his fragile confidence. it would also give him a tough test and allow a better evaluation of his abilities (as a RB). however, i think rovers will rivert to the tried and trusted and stick neill back in at RB.
  20. EDIT..... sorry, not all. you have a point about bringing taylor in. i concur with that. mickey gray's renaissance is over.
  21. rover6, i disagree with all of the above. sweeping statements, nothing more.
