  1. We've done good in this first half, but a few notes: We're still maing mistakes in defence, and are giving Pool too much room on the wings. We're having severe difficulties with Pennant especially, and are giving them too many shooting chances. We really must mark the players tighter and chop the play down a bit. Upront though we're showing some very good touches and Pool themselves are giving us a lot of room. We're still playing the long ball a bit too much for my taste though, we should try and ground it a bit more and get our strikers more involved. McCarthy and Nonda look real good. Credit to Zurab for stopping an 100% goal, though we've had 2 disallowed. I dunno, this 2nd half can go either way....
  2. 2-1 to Pool. Last minute goal by - well, you can guess. These games tend to be frustrating ones.
  3. I think we'll survive without him, won't be too big of a loss. Most definitely though Hughes should strip him off the armband, and hopefully we'll get good money for him in January.
  4. It's an ok group, could have been tougher, could have been easier. We have some tough games to play but I believe we can even get the 1st spot.
  5. Just for qualifying for the group stages we won't get anything significant. In fact you aren't awarded the big money unless you get to the final in this competition. Most our profits will come from the teams we face and the matches themselves.
  6. They've put us in a really low pot, but having a look at the teams in the other pots, there's noone we can't beat. I think that barring an injury-crisis, we can reach a long way here.
  7. Didn't have the opportunity to follow the game, but what an excellent result to come home too. Benni is banging them in, Bentley seems to be growing into one solid player, and debuts don't come any bigger than saving a penalty for your team - I predict big things for Brown. After our start to the season I wouldn't have dreamed we would get 3 wins on a row, but we've done it and our flying now. This will be a much more pleasant international break.
  8. We're high on confidence, so we should be looking at getting the 3 points again. Then again we are Blackburn Rovers...
  9. well it was about time, wasn't it ? good win, can't wait for the group draw.
  10. I am positive that we're gonna win this one. So, naturally, we might just lose.
  11. really wasn't expecting the 3 points today, fantastic that we got them anyway! Sounds like Boro didn't trouble us much at all. Can't wait to see Nonda's goal. Let's keep it rolling.
  12. Definitely it should be Brad. He's been at the club for some time now he's a person we can depend on.
  13. every other prediction I have made has gone horribly wrong, so here's hoping it continues : Rovers 1-3 City. We play some ok football, but then the ball simply rolls into our net 3 times, for no apparent reason. That's how much sense the fotball season has made to me so far.
  14. We just can't win in Europe (or at this moment anywhere), can we ? 2-2 away sounds like a good european result, but with our record we really can't afford to start counting our chickens. Chances remain 50-50 I think.
  15. A european night should be a massive thing, but after our premiership night i can understand the lack of interest... 0-0 or 1-1 draw i think.
  16. Well yeah, but then it feels like the referees hate every team I support.
  17. FT 0-0 Brad did unbelievable things to earn us a point, but this is a terrible result. It's obvious now that we simply aren't good enough this season, and we'll do very well to survive. It's gonna be a long, hard, frustrating season...
  18. Well that is absolutely ridiculous. What the hell are we doing ?
