  1. i'd be happy if we were at least battling, but we aren't even doing that.
  2. despite all logic, I have this crazy feeling that we'll win this. In fact, I'm so sure I'm gonna bet money on it.
  3. ...I don't want to draw to any conclusions, but the fact that we've lost to the bottom team in the league speaks for itself.
  4. I doubt Hughes would leave us for anyone but United.
  5. wow, I actually got to watch Rovers win a game. Seems like an alien experience these days. I don't get the opportunity to go to the games so I shouldn't be talking about this, but the commentators weren't letting go off the subject of the poor attendance and just ripping into Rovers every time they got the chance, which I thought was quite ignorant. Anyway, very relieved that we got 3 points, which was the most important thing. Good goals by our strikers, but we could have easily had so much more, Benni and MGP missing sitters. Emerton too was extremely wasteful upfront, he really is much better as a wing back. Fantastic stop by Brad at the end, even if that was the only real thing he had to do all game. Fulham though were very, very poor, we won't get a much easier game this season.
  6. for Home - Choice #1 the away though are all brilliant, any one would do.
  7. by the time this game comes I think we might have dropped in the relegation zone. and december is here. crunch time.
  8. that's great, I'm very glad to see they're moving in the right direction. Ultimately it's for the good of the game.
  9. From BBC: The sooner this gets introduced, the better. I was firmly against technology in football too before, but enough is enough. I don't care about "the flow of the game" anymore, and if it must work like the NFL where they take 10 mins to actually reach a decision, then so be it. That way they won't get to hide behind the excuse that "they didn't see it very well" and had to "make a tough decision on spot". For once, they'll have to actually do their real job and that is insure fairness, equality and consistency. It won't happen immediately obviously, but maybe try it out for a while in the lower leagues, and if it really is successful it should go into play everywhere.
  10. no, this has just crossed all lines. it's not normal for the opposing team to get away with murder every single game, while for the slightest, most murky situations they can hardly contain themselves to blow for the spot. it gets to the point when blaming bad luck and simply poor officiating look ridiculous. A conspiracy is what this is. A goddamn, bloody conspiracy.
  11. ###### referees. pieces of ###### ###### i hope they drown in ###### vomit. worthless retarded ######.
  12. Thankfully all the teams below us lost, so whatever the result we won't continue sliding down. And that's just as good as I see another loss on the cards. Spurs have big players that are capable of beating anyone, despite their start to the season. Berbatov should net a few. But if Robbie Savage is back and manages to kick us up back into the gear, I think we might just salvage a draw.
  13. I think I really did see a different game yesterday. One thing we can all agree on is that the midfield is lacking, but I'd say are other main problem is the defence, not the attack. Benni and Nonda are two of the top strikers in the premiership, and from what I've seen are doing a lot with the little they are given. But they can't work wonders, they need some help from the back, which does not come often. Our central defenders are disappointing though. Not that Oiijer and Zurab are bad players, they're just not at the required level. Ooijer has been well beaten in 1 on 1 situations, concedes a lot of penalties, and just doesn't provide us with the desired stability. Same thing for Zurab - he was at fault for Villa's goal last week, he was also at fault for United's goal yesterday. We just look very shaky and don't look confident that we can deal with the ball when the opposite team attacks. We need Nelson more than anyone right now.
  14. 4 losses in a row, sinking uncontrollably towards the bottom 3. Massive changes need to be made in January, and they must start from the defence.
  15. Once again Zurab causes us to concede. Instead of sticking to Saha he leaves him unmarked and the obvious happened. Time after time, our central defenders are being beaten by anyone who asks questions of them. I'm sorry, but Zurab and Ooijer just aren't premiership quality.
  16. despite the rain it's been a great game of football so far. We're really giving United a go and trying to create chances, although we haven't had anything too dangerous yet. Nonda especially is making a lot from the little he's given. United though are very sharp and could have been in front...Rooney especially could have had 2 already.
