  1. realistically we should lose this one 3, 4-0, but football is such a funny game we might even win. And if the players rise to the occasion we can produce the upset. C'mon Rovers
  2. Wow, we have a Belgian feeder club ?? You learn something new every day..
  3. actually i think Hughes has been getting it right, can't think of much I would change. These are the players we have, and we'll have to make do.
  4. With out last few results, the fixtures ahead and our injury list one would hope that we've simply entered our worst run of the season and just have to get through it, but it is very, very hard to see a light at the end of the tunnel. Also when the going gets tought - we have to get tough as well. Screw what others think, we need to get the "bully" tagline back and fight out the results. Many of our players just seem too mellow for the premiership, and now that Savage is out we've pretty much got no fire in the engine. Hughes needs to tell the players that things are getting serious and results won't change just like that.
  5. glad to see their taking full advantage of the inspiration we gave them last week...
  6. it's scary just how dependant on a player we become. When Nelsen was in the team our defence was far from rock-solid but still quite firm, and the rest of the team could confidentally build up from that. Now we just seem unsure of ourselves and bend over to any team that really puts us under pressure.
  7. Zurab completely mishandles the ball and Angel makes it 2-0.
  8. on the 30th mminute mark - stone cold, 100%, no questions aksed penalty for us - not given a few minutes later - no way in hell could that be given a penalty - guess what - penalty vs us. and the sad thing is that that kind of non-existant penalty has been given many times against us. when the ball is cannened off a hand but is not going goal-wards YOU CANT GIVE A GODDAMN PENALTY !!! what are our players supposed to do ?? disappear into thin air ?? we need to turn this around 2nd half or a disaster is at hand. no points in last 3 games, no points in next two, and i havent had the courage to look further ahead into the schedule
  9. oh my. just chekced the schedule and am really worried. West Ham, Villa, United, Spurs - all games live on tv here, all games we have lost/will most probably lose. I can't remember the last time I got to actually see Rovers win a game...tv is a curse.
  10. this is terrible. I don't think anyone can replace Savage in terms of the job he was doing. we need to change things around.
  11. I see no way of us getting anything from this game. Villa need to win, and we're always helpful. 2-0 loss.
  12. great wins for all british teams tonight...and we certainly did our part. we're through with 2 games to spare.
  13. Actually I think we'll follow in the footsteps of other english clubs and do well in europe while suffering in the league. I predict we'll win this one 1-0 and qualify, but then the misery continues on Sunday...
  14. Well of course, why the f*** not ? We've droped our pants and broken every single negative record west ham had. What a disgrace. Complete joke, utter rubbish. I hate football.
  15. Why are we even out there on the field with this mentality ?? West Ham are as bad as their form suggests, but as scripted we're just calmly and quietly giving them everything they want. The defending for Sheringham's goal did not exist, an 80 year-old man would have scored. Up front we have done nothing dangerous, and no matter where we get the ball we always look to just hoof it up. Peter is getting involved in a lot of things, unforunately including a few good set pieces that he wasted. We're missing Savage to the extreme, we're barely giving them a fight in midfield. Unless Hughes gives them a good hiding and we come out an enitrely different teem in the 2nd half, the predicted will happen.
  16. you are not familiar with the game of football, are you ?
  17. I must say I don't agree much with Hughe's tactics on this game. I like to see us do well in every competition, but we have many others to think about and were handed a crap draw anyway. Even Cheslea's 2nd string, had they played it, would have been favourites. We should have rested a few players and given others a chance, and whatever happend - happend. Instead now we'll be more tired for the weeked game and have got new injuries to key players.
  18. The hammers have just been giant-slain, they've lost 8 in a row, they're in a terrible form and we should be looking to take full advantage of that. So it's set in stone really. West Ham 3-0 Rovers.
  19. I can't f'n believe this. Football can be hard to take sometimes, but this is just a f'n joke. No resting time for us, Hughes should get them kicking penalties all day and night this week untill they drop. This is unacceptable.
  20. someone tell me that we didn't actually miss 2 penalties, did we ? Cause I think I might just have a heartattack and die on the ***en spot if we did.
  21. It's be very disheartening to lose this after that attendance.
  22. Bolton are way too high for my liking, it's time we bring them back down to earth. And in the form that we're on, I wouldn't bet against us. 1-0 Rovers
  23. Darn I mixed up the times, the game was even earlier than I thought (why was it played at such an early time anyway ?) But a great result nonetheless, 1 more win and we're through already. Anyone has a link to the highlights ?
  24. Very unpredictable game indeed, hopefully if we can keep up our form we can still get the 3 points - 2-1 for us I reckon.
  25. Disappointing second half, we just didn't show up. The 2nd 45 minutes were pretty much a free-kick and corner-kick practise for Pool, every time they went forward the reff blew the whistle in their favour. It was impossible for Bellamy not to score, and of course he did, and to be honest Pool could have had more. I really think we should have attacked more, but still good job by the players. I would have taken a draw at Anfield before the game, so a good point.
