Season Tickets 2019/2020

I presume it was Greg Coar, Joe. If Rob Coar (no relation) was there I doubt he would know more than Steve. -
There's nothing wrong in raising a point that on this occasion a number of people had to miss the meeting. As it happens everyone had to my mind a good reason why they couldn't make it. You just seem to have used the point to suggest that two members should be replaced. Why two?

Why would I not refer to it by it's name though? The financial rules are known as Financial Fair Play - it seems to me much clearer for anyone reading the minutes. I should call them something else because you have some irrational point to make? -

So you want me to write abusive slang in a publicly available set of meeting minutes Vinjay? -
Vinjay - of the 8 who were unable to attend the last Fans Forum meeting, two were unable to attend due to illness, two were at a funeral, two had last minute work commitments, one had a family commitment and one was on holiday. All 8 have a good attendance record at the Forum. Which two of those do you think we should replace?

I hope you got it for Christmas Deryck?
-
Clearly a turning wicket Matt. They were 77-0 with Onions and Gleeson bowling. Maxwell and Parkinson came on and cleaned them up for 50. Jennings and Davies have got Lancs to 48-0, although Sussex have only just brought a spinner on.

Championship season 2019-20

Irrespective of how good a manager Bruce is or isn't I have plenty of disdain for him. This is the man who has walked out of contracts with clubs twice (maybe three times?) and then had the gall to complain that Rovers fans have no loyalty when we were campaigning for Kean to go. -
Summer Transfer Window 2019

Now you should know Roverite that a calm and reasoned post is not what this thread is about. -
Well it's not gone well for me. I knew I would miss quite a number but the count is already 8 home games missed, with no doubt others missed later.
-
It relates to Vinjay's unhealthy obsession with the Walker Trust K-Hod. What has the size of the company got to do with quality Vinjay? I would choose a smaller company for excellent food.

Unfortunately we're stuck a long way away on Brereton Boulevard. -
I too would love to find a way of encouraging more people to take out season tickets rather than picking a few games a season. Everyone these days has lots of other pressing demands on their time, be it working, looking after children, family events or like me being retired and able to travel for longer periods. Tomphil - It would be great to have an incentive for those marginal fans to get them over the line, but any scheme like that would just give an incentive for many existing ST holders to attend fewer games. I can’t see giving fans a good reason to pick and choose working. Another point we have to contend with is all the midweek games on the Sky red button. It’s difficult enough for many to get to midweek games as it is and a real problem for anyone with young kids, so offering any sort of “incentive” is just going to greatly depress actual attendances, further downgrading the match day experience. I would be delighted if a scheme could be found though.
-
I can empathise with the sentiment and could benefit from such a scheme myself. I already know I will miss several games this coming season as I’m away for the second half of August and 6 weeks in Feb/March. But just offering a free ticket for a future game for any you miss will mean hundreds suddenly unable to get to Ewood on a cold wet Tuesday night at home to Charlton but all wanting to bring a mate to PNE at home on a Saturday

It is the end of June Stuart, or at least pretty much, 1st July. -

The only really relevant numbers will be on 1st July, the claim your seat deadline day. For me, and presumably most others, there is absolutely no point in buying before then. -
Philip - South Ribble (my local council) has been a basket case for a number of years now. The ruling Tories have been a bickering shambles, including accidentally handing over power to Labour for a few weeks earlier this year. Labour took control in the local elections and presumably the new Labour leader intends a clear out.

They are still going into the Championship, just like I said on Sunday. - see above. -

It used to be the decider to see who got promoted - winners of north v south. Last year Rovers lost to Charlton and did not go up automatically (or any other way as we now know). I can’t see the point now that both league winners go up, except it’s another trophy. -

The Championship. It’s the equivalent of doing what the men did last year, except of course they had dominated their division for two years before but not been allowed to be promoted. -
That pretty much happened this season. We ended up with two sell out away attendances (Leeds and PNE) and no other team came remotely close. We will probably get them again next season, assuming Leeds are still with us, almost whenever we play them. Yet PNE had at least 4 sell-outs (Rovers, Leeds, Sheff Utd and Birmingham City). Their end is obviously smaller than the Darwen End but its still 5K+. They just got lucky playing Birmingham when they were playing well before the points deduction and Sheff Utd right at the end of a promotion season. We had the former just before Christmas and the latter on a Tuesday night early in the season. I don't think there were any price promotions involved. Of course Preston is a bit easier to get to for away fans, especially when there were so many Northern rail strikes on matchdays.

Matt - that’s surely because, whilst Ossy and Rishton are near Blackburn, they are also not far from Burnley. Whereas Colne is a far way from Ewood in comparison. There aren’t many dingles in Chorley either.

Other Football League 2018/19

If you mean Southend v Sunderland that’s not a dead rubber. As I type, with Plymouth winning, Southend are in the last relegation place. At the other end of the table the two automatic places are sorted so the relegation battle is the obvious place to be. Mind you the fact that Sunderland are the away team no doubt means that’s on rather than Plymouth v Scunthorpe. -

What deadline? There doesn’t appear to be any deadline in terms of prices, except for a mention of more Club Cash for anyone buying sooner rather than later. There is a deadline of 1st July for existing ST holders to retain their current seat but no mention of a deadline for these prices. -
