  1. Same as it's been all game - 3-5-2 (2 WBs, an AMC playing behind 2 ST).
  2. Protecting injury prone players. The third sub protects a guy coming back from injury.
  3. Cynically he's seen a chance to get an easy W on his record, so he's come down to claim it from Johnson.
  4. I'm a big JDT fan, but he clearly threw his toys out of the pram for the QPR match. 3 CBs would have at least got us a point there. The new CB has been fantastic today.
  5. He'll be on massive money now - no way we could afford him.
  6. Their #22 could have been booked 3 times before now. Amazing what opposition players get away with.
  7. Never a penalty, but there you go.
  8. There's a staunchly anti-JDT contingent on here that I just don't have the energy to debate with. That said, we're FAR more direct today - whether that's because Stoke are badly out of form or it's a new style I don't know. Probably the latter, judging by Birmingham fan comments.
  9. Hedges and Brittain are playing as Wingbacks. Chrisene is playing as the LCB in a 3.
  10. He'd still win everything in the air against Gallagher. In their box, anyway. In our own box he's a different animal.
  11. You an generally tell from the warm-ups - do we have 3 CBs or 2 practicing heading clear a long ball?
  12. That's the strongest our Starting XI and bench has looked for months. Fuck off tho, JDT, yeah?
  13. He had a very bad hamstring injury.
  14. He's also incredibly slow. You need a bit of pace to play WB.
  15. * with two buttons and a bottle top.
  16. Fingers crossed we can get £250k for him. Goal is here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/68136731
  17. The Sweden job was just his quickest route out of this circus without owing the Venky's 18 months of his contract.
  18. Maybe you should buy a ticket and get a chant going.
  19. I think the problem was: Hedges - injured for most of the season Hyam - injured for a large chunk of the season Dolan - injured for a large chunk of the season Gallagher - injured for most of the season JRC - injured for a large chunk of the season You only need to look at the bench to see how threadbare the squad is. We can't afford to have 5+ starters out injured (regardless of whether you think they're quality players). JDT did a great job last year, wasn't backed in the summer and couldn't overcome a raft of injuries this year. Our players were dead on their feet during December with 2 matches a week and nobody he trusted to bring off the bench.
  20. The captain is soft. He's not a leader.
  21. I think he's going to go on to have a very successful career. He clearly needs to be less stubborn and, quite frankly, I think his QPR team selection was him daring the board to sack him.
  22. There'll be a lone tweet announcing his departure, wishing him well. We don't do PR or Communications.
  23. Half of the squad has been changed, but we've let experienced quality leave and replaced it with Academy kids and players bought for peanuts. I'm not saying JDT and Broughton are saints, but Mowbray was allowed to spend £7m on Brereton-Diaz and £5m on Gallagher - only to shift both out wide because their second touch was a tackle. If Eustace is pragmatic he'll go to 5 at the back to grind out enough results to survive as we have an abundance of CBs, very few quality CMs (I think Tronstad is clearly better than Travis and Buckley btw) and no wingers. The kicker would be if the Venky's magically open the purse strings again in the summer having run off a very talented manager - we've been through this cycle before.
  24. An inexperienced manager desperate for a job.
