I think we're going down this season. There's no fight in this team and we just sold our only standout player for half his value.

He's on a hiding to nothing coming out to do a post transfer window interview again. He took one for the team last January and got pelters from those who couldn't see that he was shouldering responsibility as a leader. It doesn't benefit him to do so again when the Secretary (or whoever) has fucked up AGAIN and we've contrived to spend no money AGAIN. Genuinely no problem with the club accountant(s) keeping a track of frivolous spending. I work in the public sector and know how quickly those types of charges add up - and how much my colleagues take it for granted ("oh I'll just put my coffee on expenses [3 times a day]"). That said until they sort out the CEO being paid £300k a year and returning nothing of value they're wasting their time.
