  1. LOL he genuinely might get himself sacked in a post match interview. Love it.
  2. I've just seen that they've spent £110m on transfers this summer - that's astounding.
  3. We do if we bring in a #9. New player, Ennis and Gallagher for one position is more than enough - I don't want him buried during this pivotal development period just in case we might need him.
  4. It looks like he's lost his ability to control a football.
  5. We paid a transfer fee for 5 of that starting 11 today (6 of the 15 that played today) - less than £5m in total. I wouldn't even like to start totting up what that Watford squad cost to assemble - their new striker was £2m alone. JDT is doing an incredible job - and so are our Academy coaches, to be fair.
  6. Neither did Rhodes or a whole host of goal scorers I could mention. His movement is very good - I haven't seen him take enough shots to say what his finishing is like, but if you're a yard ahead in your head you can be a nightmare for defenders. He's athletic enough to play in this league, without being incredibly big / fast. We needed someone to get onto the end of balls last season - as much as I'd like a Drogba clone, in this formation it's not required.
  7. Smash and grab implies that we were second best - I don't think they troubled us. A worldie of a strike hit the crossbar and Pears made a good save. Otherwise did they really threaten our goal?
  8. I'd like to see Leonard loaned out to a L1 team. There's a very good player in there, but I'd rather he learned on the job elsewhere and for us to bring in a #9.
  9. Imagine JDT with that Watford squad - they'd batter us.
  10. 'Assistant referee', if you're being pedantic.
  11. I don't think he gave the ball away when he came on. Clearly a tidy player and a massive step up from Dolan. He's decently athletic too, which is what I was mainly worried about.
  12. Their coaching staff looked absolutely gutted on the bench. You'd think they'd lost to a non-league side by their reaction.
  13. As it wasn't in the box that would have been very generous.
  14. Booked for cramp - this ref really is a tosser.
  15. That should be Louza's second yellow card.
  16. That's the first time he's been on the same pitch - training or otherwise - with Moran.
  17. Toys firmly out of the pram then.
  18. Their #10 just kicked the ball away after fouling Wharton. That was a yellow card in week 1.
  19. Matheus is like that Burnley lad last year - one trick pony, but it's a hell of a trick.
  20. Oh wow, unceremoniously booted from SKYSports Main Event - I wondered why they were talking about Sheffield Utd when I walked back into the room.
  21. It was. CB got there second and bundled Hedges over in a dangerous position.
  22. It's the first game I've seen Leonard really struggle - link up play is really good, but he's not a goal threat at the moment. I'd love him to get a L1 loan this week if we bring in a proper #9. He needs to play mens football week in, week out.
