Zero problem with that, to be honest. They're loaning us a talent we couldn't dream of pulling on our shirt (as we've fallen that far in a decade). In return they want a guarantee that he'll play and, therefore, develop. If he's not up to snuff we send him back, ala Palmer. Why you wouldn't make the promise that he plays X number of games at this stage is beyond me.

I disagree. Elite footballers have tremendous stamina. Look at how City, Liverpool, Barcelona etc play. At our level it's hit or miss - quite a lot just coast on their skill.

Which is mental because Bennett is terrible at RB.

I don't think LB is a priority. If we get a CB who is good in the air and and can read the game, that would improve is tremendously. I also agree, Williams is terrible at LB, but a decent option as over at CB.

I can't imagine Brighton are loaning us their promising GK to sit on the bench.

Mulgrew isn't a Championship CB. He doesn't read the game well enough, nor is he physical enough. Got away with it in League One, but seriously found out last year. He was shown up by Williams last year, after being benched, and he's not a good defender either. Should have been shipped out to a Scottish club earlier in the window for mine.

Different class of player, but he's like Emerton when we played him on the wing. You could tell what type of day he was going to have in the first 5 minutes. If he could beat his man he'd be like Ronaldo. Otherwise he'd be anonymous and cut back inside every time he got the ball. If Armstrong has his man for pace he's a terror, otherwise he's awful. He's much better in the middle.

Nobody is willing to pay £3m+ for Leutweiler - he was brought in as a warm body at GK. He should be nothing more than our third keeper - if he's anywhere near the first team next year then the season is a write off, regardless of who we bring in elsewhere.

The game changed when we brought on our best midfielders - it's clear as day who 9 of our 11 best starters are (until people are signed). Mowbray always takes 70 minutes to get them on the field together though.

How Mowbray watches Rothwell in training every week and doesn't make him the first name on the teamsheet is beyond me.

The defence is shocking - Rangers are just queuing up to score.

Their ability, perhaps? One is significantly more successful than the other even at this age.

It's not always racist - the fact a 21 year old can buy a £2m mansion is absurd when he's not a household name. But football is out of control, we all know this.

The standard of Championship football is so poor that if this guy is on the verge of the Man City squad he's going to be light years better than anything we've got on the books. At 6'4" you'd hope he's good in the air - which was our main weakness at the back last year. Get in a reliable keeper who commands his area and the defence is improved immeasurably from last season.

I'd take pretty much any keeper we had on the books in the 90s over what we've had in recent years.
