  1. Thought Cardiff may have been targeting Garrett yesterday in much the same way. After he got his early booking, he came in for a few rough tackles...well, fouls. I was saying to my dad they're trying to get a rise out of him to tempt him into that second booking. But despite being 4 years younger than Buckley, he kept his cool.
  2. No he didn't, he looked pretty average.
  3. Well, we won't have the budget to do much of that, so loans and cheap gambits it is.
  4. Not sure about that. BBD would be considered goal-scoring by every other club in the league, but he's the one that fluffed the golden chances to win 3-0.
  5. Savage, Diouf, Neill, Lenihan, Hanley, Todd, off the top of my head. And Batty and Le Saux managed to fight with each other in Moscow. And this is just in my era.
  6. Haha anybody got footage of that incident?
  7. But you were talking about head injuries. You'd need to have brittle bone disease for that throw to cause any sort of injury.
  8. I don't think there is a like quota anymore, I suggested it to the admins and they changed it. It's either gone or a lot higher now, I haven't hit a limit since.
  9. Yeh, really beautiful when referees make mistakes. Bizarre sentiment. Who goes to games to watch the referee? I go to watch a game of football and want the outcome to be decided purely by events on the pitch by the players. When human cloning is perfected the first thing they should do is repeatedly clone Collina and have him ref every game. Barely any other ref is worth their salt.
  10. Come off it, a typical header would hurt your head more.
  11. Yep, wasn't the worst decision but that one wound me up a lot too.
  12. Preposterous decision. If it was within the laws of the game, then the laws need changing. That's no reason to go down to 10 men early into the second half and lose a player for 3 matches.
  13. I don't want him anywhere near the club, ever.
  14. In terms of where we are in the league, we are well ahead of where I thought we would be. In terms of creating a team identity and style that looks likely to bring long term success, we are way behind where I thought we would be. A death spiral feels imminent, if not already in progress.
  15. I actually think last season was a better chance. Not only were we higher in the league, but we were playing better and looked more likely to continue doing so.
  16. Ooh Rangers. The temptation of a pisspot 2 league team.
  17. The alternative though is we get half the threads clogged by Chaddy posts.
  18. Lol yep, we must remember though that the club aren't the ones who pick the headline, the LT do. Which quote they take from the article to run with for the headline has a psychological effect on how people read it (or they don't read it and just run with the headline sentiment).
  19. Mowbray can go and fuck himself. The way he celebrated their second goal against us, I don't think I ever saw him celebrate like that when he was our manager.
  20. You're very glad that one of our signings has been an awful failure?
  21. Gotta be Millwall surely, having visited their forum.
  22. Bollocks, with respect Gav. The wider city of Sunderland has a population double the size of Blackburn with Darwen. When you factor in the uncontested further catchment area as well, why is anybody impressed they get double our attendances? And almost the entire north is a deprived area of the country. Since we are in one ourselves, it's redundant to even point out that theirs is deprived too. I also don't really give a fuck about the size of a fan base when considering if a club is big or not. It accounts for about 10-20% of that consideration as far as I'm concerned. Not that I'm having that argument again.
