  1. Wow. Just wow. Honestly, if it's not the alcohol, are you on something today? Normally I agree with most of your posts but there's a couple of doozies today... (Not referring to the other one I quoted btw)
  2. I wasn't fully watching just then, may have missed something, but it looked like...Rothwell fouled in the middle of the pitch, play continued, long enough for Fulham to have a shot from the outside of the box...and then their player got booked for the foul which wasn't given?
  3. I can guarantee that if we offered them Travis plus 2 million for Reed, it would be rejected out of hand.
  4. He has struggled with distribution most of the season really, compared to the year before. He is used to doing the 'sweeper keeper' thing, closer to the middle of the pitch. We've changed our playing approach this season of course so that doesn't really happen anymore.
  5. This fucking manager. Make all your changes by 65 minutes against these dirty bastards, and take one off from the forward line to put another midfielder on, whilst maintaining two defensive midfielders and the LB who has been roasted all fucking game. Why does being a Rovers fan have to be this infuriating?
  6. So, you'd rather stay down here, with no 200 million quid windfall? And lose half the side in the summer with barely any money to replace them?
  7. You want Dolan at wing back and Buckley up front? Tony, get off the forum and manage the game!
  8. The other day I saw a bunch of Rovers fans claim he was the best FB at the club, not Nyambe. Yeh ok sure.
  9. The place it will get you is severe disappointment. Absolutely the players need to have the attitude that they can win every match, beyond that there's not much point them fixating on whether it's automatics or playoffs. Thinking too far head like that can sabotage you mentally too. But they're paid handsomely to give their all. Individual fans not only pay instead of being paid, but the impact of a single fan is considerably lower than the impact of a single player. We're allowed to just be realistic on a forum. And realistically, our chances of finishing 2nd are very, very slim. I'm going to be generous and say they're about 5-10% at best. We do have a generous run-in, but our last result aside, we are in very poor form, whilst Bournemouth have returned to fine form and have a deep squad. Thankfully the ship may have turned against QPR, but in a way it came at the wrong time as we now face a team who are very likely to put us right back in our place. We are also missing our best striker for a few more games yet, barely scoring without him, and vulnerable to injuries in a few other areas. Oh and of course, we are 4 points behind, with Bournemouth having 3 games in hand and even if they slip, a few other teams in better form with a chance of catching them. Save yourself the heartache and worry about landing top 6 instead (which may also result in heartache).
  10. It was hard work finding the score, but we seem to have exited the FA Youth Cup in fairly embarrassing fashion. Game nearly over I think, score 0-3 to Forest, at Ewood. A team near the bottom of the league our lads are near the top of. Our U18s form has dipped off badly lately. Think this is the fourth straight defeat? Although two of them to City, who top the league.
  11. /\ This post was how I learnt that they allow full internet access in asylums.
  12. Aye, and he said he has never hit one like that even in training, so I wouldn't expect a recurrence any time soon lol
  13. Hayden Carter scored from 30 yards (looks a bit closer to 25 to me but who is counting?) for Pompey. Carter goal LT Article
  14. I suspect it was always the plan. Replace it with a product at a price nobody will pay, then say that isn't viable either but 'we tried and it just wasn't workable'. Echoes of our transfer policy...
  15. It says they want confident fans, so in this case the two requirements should align nicely...
  16. I haven't criticised his overall use this season, although as you say there have still been a handful of bizarre decisions around him (some of which may just be injury related). But those two statements still apply as far as I'm concerned. The damage was already done. Nyambe isn't a better player than last season, and the manager doesn't rate him any more than before. He's playing all the time this season because the woeful Bennett is gone and JRC can't stay fit long enough to finish his breakfast. If I were Nyambe, and not a Rovers fan, I'd have decided over a year ago I was leaving. But from the rumours, it's actually his agent calling the shots here.
  17. The shoddy treatment was in the past, not really this season. But you knew that.
  18. Gonna say, Fulham 2 -1 Rovers. The goal is only really because I think we will be very up for it and in a way the game has very little pressure as most won't expect us to get anything. It won't 100% surprise me if we sneak a draw, but I'm expecting defeat.
  19. We might be seeing Davenport soon. Travis is going to pick up that 10th booking in the next 3 games for sure you would think. Davenport is the most similar player to Travis and should be his backup, but I worry we will use Johnson in that role instead. Edun approaching fitness though I think, so a possibility it's him instead, depending when the 2-match ban comes in.
  20. You're doing great work but I see a problem. According to this, Gallagher has been as good as Brereton, which I'm sure only a madman or Gally's mum would believe. I may have said this previously, but I think you should give higher weighting to goals than you currently do.
  21. For all the talk of him not pushing himself and not playing that well, it should be remembered he has still scored 2 goals.
  22. If we want anything from that game... Well, I do, but quite frankly as long as we don't lose it by more than 2 I will just shrug my shoulders and move on to the next game. They can be beaten on the right day, but they're also comfortably the best side in the league and we're going to their turf. As a reminder, they drubbed us 7-0 on our own turf. We have improved remarkably since then, especially at the back, but we have to admit they are heavy favourites for this one. It's the hardest game on paper we will have all season. We have already lost some much easier games.
