Was always under the impression that permanent or loans have to be done by 5pm.
-
Still might not be signing anybody yet...

Thought this interview with Mowbray was interesting from today. Seems like he's going to snap sooner or later... https://www.lancs.live/sport/football/transfer-news/tony-mowbrays-message-supporters-everything-16720353

Has to be better than Bennett there surely? It could also mean that Williams is going in a left back, with Tosin partnering Lenihan, whilst Bennett keeps his place at right back. One of Bennett or Mulgrew is playing, whatever happens.
-
Smallwood & Samuel I could see leaving on loan to league one before the end of the month. Nobody is paying cash for them today though, why would they? And as for Evans, we'll be stuck with him until the end of time.
-
Cunningham and Hanley in, would certainly see us with an improved team on paper. I do get the feeling though, that no matter who plays back there we will still concede a shed load of goals. That side on Saturday looked so unorganised it was scary. Hopefully better players in them positions will help that, I just have my doubts.
-
Doesn't matter who we sign today, they won't play until October anyway.
-
Yes, no more "neutral end".
-
We're good at every age group apart from the first team. What does that tell you?
-
Just be the usual pre match press conference wont it? They always hold them on the Thursday before the game. On transfer business he will just state "if something comes up, we'll look at it, if not we're fine with that too" Don't expect anything groundbreaking from him.
-
I'm going to put two and two together and say Hanley isn't happening then?
-
Great effort then, looking forward to the atmosphere if not the game ?
-
I'm wondering if we have sent some back, say 700 or so? Can't quite fathom that we will have sold that allocation in London at £30 a throw. Only reason i'm thinking that is we had a 2500 allocation for Leeds on boxing day, a few days before the game Rovers were tweeting that there were only a few tickets left, they just forgot to mention that we sent 1500 back...
-
Jacob Murphy is going to Sheffield Wednesday, we were never interested.
-
I imagine it will all be brushed under the carpet before that comes around. Everyone in attendance will probably be told "any questions about defenders will not be answered" before it starts.
-
What for?

After the debacle of Charlton I'd like to see us go with something totally different from the norm, lets face it we're going to get mullered anway. 4-4-2 - Walton, Nyambe, Tosin, Lenihan, Bell, Rothwell, Travis, Johnson, Downing, Brereton, Gallagher. Subs - Leutwiler, Mulgrew, Bennett, Chapman, Armstrong, Dack, Graham No doubt it will be the same tired players, trying to play in whatever weird formation TM has them working on this week. 3-0 Fulham, so happy i booked trains for this when the fixtures were released ?

Paul Ince was encouraging following his time at Macclesfied & MK Dons. I don't see a couple of good seasons at under 23 level being a catalyst to take this job over on a permanent basis, for me is Mowbray was to ever depart we would need somebody with some experience and guile to get the best out of our young squad, but you are correct in saying that he probably would be Venkys preferred option.
-
It does make me laugh that everyone on here seems to think that Damien Johnson will be our saviour if Mowbray should ever depart.
-
I keep reading about how amazing we are going forward, yet we didnt create anything on Sat and didnt look like scoring if we played for the next week. It's not just the defence that needs a lot of work.
-
It was all so obvious though? It was clear as day that Bennet & Mulgrew were going to start, and that Rothwell wasn't. The pre season lineups told us that. My only surprise with the team that was that Graham didn't start up front with Gallagher to one side of him,
-
That's very true, would put Rothwell out of a job.
-
As a separate note, the last time we scored an injury time goal that was an equaliser or a winner was 14th March 2017. Also, we haven't scored an injury time winner since Mowbray was appointed. Contrast that to how many we have conceded in that time. If we're losing or drawing when the board goes up you might aswell go home, there wasnt one ounce of pressure in that extra 6 minutes yesterday. This side has no balls or character, and I cant see that changing this season.
-
Mowbray loves tinkering with the team so at least there will be changes next week, christ knows what they will be though because there is no way Bennett & Mulgrew don't start.
-
It's getting to the point where I'm thinking that we could replace the whole back 5 and we would be no better off, because we're so disjointed all over the pitch with no organisation.
