  1. I hope the sponsor on the actual kits is similar to the training wear, instead of a horrible black/blue box just stuck on there.
  2. Pretty sure i read in the article where he signed his new contract that he's still 4 or 5 months away from being fit.
  3. I will never, ever understand the folk who said they were "relieved" when Sam was sacked, or even some who said they stopped going while he was in charge. I personally loved his only full season in charge. A top half Premier league finish, a cup semi final, only losing 3 games at Ewood all season (none to the so called "big 4"), doubles over both Burnley and Bolton.
  4. Crowds were the highest they had been in 8 years under Sam, granted tickets were a bit cheaper. Main thing is though, we were regularly winning games at Ewood with him in charge.
  5. Don't they usually take them off sale for a bit now to process seat moves etc? So might be a week or two until we can see the seating map to see how many have sold.
  6. Graham Jones said in a tweet a few days ago that his first choice was Carrick, so how he can question JDT's CV I don't know.
  7. I think they just forgot there were a couple of bank holidays at the end of last week so the shop would have been closed for anyone wanting to do it in person or on the phone.
  8. I would suggest that considering they have only done it once in 11 years and have employed 8 managers in that time, that it's a pretty reasonable suggestion.
  9. It was Bowyers first ever gig in management to be fair, so he cant be classed as a journeyman for his time here. He wasn't great by any means, and should have been nowhere near the job. But at least it didn't take him 5 years to finish 8th.
  10. If players are back on Monday for pre season then surely there will be a friendly or two before the Accrington game on the 9th? Seems a long time to wait to play a game. Unless they are doing some behind closed doors maybe.
  11. If Unleaded is correct about them not liking him, i also thought it would be down to something like this.
  12. Is it a poisoned chalice anymore though? Any manager looking in will have seen the last guy get 5 years at the job, shaping the club how he saw fit with little to no pressure to deliver results or sell anyone. I would say if you can get your feet in, it's probably the most comfortable/cushiest gig in football.
  13. Rich Sharpe bizarrely mentioned Woodgate at the very start of all this, and gave a good portion of his column up talking about him. Ever since then I've been convinced it will be him, and the rest of it is just window dressing. Probably as others have said, they are waiting until June 30th so they don't have to pay two salaries at the same time.
