Indeed. I was more just reminiscing. The club of Cowans and Hughes was one were aging, but still top class players were brought in to help get an ambitious club over the line. This shell of a club is operating in a different universe.

They’ve got that giddiness fans of clubs that suddenly surge from nowhere usually have. Everything’s an adventure, a cup tie relatively up the road at a famous old ground they’ve not been to for 43 years being another one. It’s obviously all very exciting for them, but like everybody they’ll hit their glass ceiling at some point and it will all wear off.

It’s a January night game against a fourth division side on TV. Even without the current horrendous form we’d never be looking at more than 5/6k home fans.

Yep, Mike Graham has confirmed that the majority of our ST holders now live outside BwD. So the percentage in Blackburn itself will be lower still - yet I’d wager the vast majority of outreach is done in Blackburn. The lazy, complacent attitude you come to expect from this club.
