  1. Yep. ‘What about selling Sammie to help the financial situation? Other players can step up like me and Sutty did after Shearer. Leonard can do that’. Then some sense from our Herby replying - ‘Not now as it will go in an owner black hole’.
  2. Pining for St Anthony of Yarm.
  3. This is the problem when sales are so low go start with, it doesn’t take much in the prior season, be if results, be it Sky pissing everybody about, be it the general mess of this football club for sales to end up at levels that wouldn’t stand out in League 2.
  4. Sell Sammie and just play Leonard until the end of the season, great idea Gally 🙄
  5. Massively important to engage Blackburn’s Asian community, no question. But Blackburn seems to be the start and end of the club’s outreach which is a very blinkered approach considering more and more of the fanbase lives elsewhere. Though of course we don’t want to encroach on Accy Stanley’s patch or anything…
  6. ‘The club’ what and who does that even mean these days?
  7. Good for him. GB/Swag should hold their own weekly presser on them.
  8. Indeed. I was more just reminiscing. The club of Cowans and Hughes was one were aging, but still top class players were brought in to help get an ambitious club over the line. This shell of a club is operating in a different universe.
  9. They’ve got that giddiness fans of clubs that suddenly surge from nowhere usually have. Everything’s an adventure, a cup tie relatively up the road at a famous old ground they’ve not been to for 43 years being another one. It’s obviously all very exciting for them, but like everybody they’ll hit their glass ceiling at some point and it will all wear off.
  10. It’s a January night game against a fourth division side on TV. Even without the current horrendous form we’d never be looking at more than 5/6k home fans.
  11. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2024/january/18/express-your-interest-for-the-first-ewood-express-of-2024-/ This is a prime example of it: “Ewood Express provides new opportunities and a safe, accessible service for young people across the borough to join us at Ewood Park and has been a great success since it started.” So if you have different coloured bins because you happen to live on the other side of some arbitrary drawn border we aren’t interested in you.
  12. So if we had 17,000 at Ewood every week instead of 13,000 we’d be spending our way to promotion? I refer you back to my previous ‘most fans have always been clueless but they now have a social media loudspeaker to amplify their cluelessness’.
  13. Yep, just stick to regurgitating JDT’s latest presser or parroting verbatim the Fans Forum minutes. Modern local reporters wouldn’t know an actual scoop if it smacked them in the face.
  14. Thought journo 101 was ‘publishing in the public interest’. So it comes to light that a football club with tens of thousands of supporters in his patch is being threatened with a winding up order by the UK authorities, in black and white on a court document, but this is not in said public interest? Spineless.
  15. Let’s hope we have a decent end to the season then, as even if they reduce them significantly sales won’t be great regardless if the campaign carries on like this… though they won’t reduce them significantly anyway, I’d wager.
  16. Outside Rovers how much traffic does that place get these days? Local media is on its arse, so they are desperate for good relations with the club - feck actual journalism or even reporting considering it’s taken him till Thursday to even mention it.
  17. Glad I posted that then, brfcs getting the LT’s arse into gear once again.
  18. Well Swag did say ‘we need to help the owners’, so yeah sell him, can go towards their legal fees.
  19. Time to stand up, LT or is their cosy relationship with the club more important?
  20. Yep, Mike Graham has confirmed that the majority of our ST holders now live outside BwD. So the percentage in Blackburn itself will be lower still - yet I’d wager the vast majority of outreach is done in Blackburn. The lazy, complacent attitude you come to expect from this club.
  21. And I’m outlining the issues the FF have with him. I don’t envy them.
  22. Oh sorry rigger. Best lock the thread then as I doubt he’ll be posting.
  23. Money received. If just one person bought a ST for £3million he’d be delighted. Think of the savings he could make on stewarding, cleaners etc.
  24. Swag answered it - ‘Other clubs are in larger communities’. No ‘think big’ here. We are ‘small’ and that’s that.
