  1. It’s very difficult, I think back to my time as a kid/teenager/early 20s and think of the buzz, the pride everybody had for Blackburn Rovers and you can only feel gutted for that generation now. But I always try and remember (before I get all Bobby Robson 😁) that we are the club. The collective memories, the bug being passed generation to generation. Steve fecking Waggott, that teenage ‘Head of Consumer’, those utter disgraceful owners just happen to have the keys at this time, they will go at some point, they always do and we can rise again, I just don’t know what pieces will be left to pick up when they do.
  2. I’ll be back on ignore soon enough 😁
  3. Oh I’m not wrong, and why ‘again’? Of course the public don’t get told the full story of what goes on behind closed doors, we don’t know the half of it. People in football all have their own agendas from CEOs to DoFs to managers to players, they are protecting their position, their reputation, their future employment chances - and if you still haven’t worked that out by now there’s not a lot else to say.
  4. You take everything everybody at the club says at face value so that doesn’t mean an awful lot.
  5. I don’t disagree with Andy in some ways. We were in a good place going into December, obviously been horrendous since. But things can change very quickly in this league and we have a lot of injured players coming back that do work well for JDT; Dolan, JRC etc. ‘LiKE nEw siGNinGS!’* So we could well pick up and have a decent run in, or we may not- but I’ll judge the actual on the pitch season in May. That in no way means I can’t separate that from the utter disgrace that is the running of this football club. *And of course being injured in January means they can’t be loaned out to Plymouth or whoever next week.
  6. The ‘big wages’ sliding scale. I’m sure it was the likes of Dack and Ayala, before that Danny Graham, Mulgrew etc that were the unaffordable millstones around our neck. Once we had shut of them we’d be a lean machine and would have that famous wiggle room to wheel and deal. Now it’s second division steady eddies like Lewis Travis that are luxuries we can’t afford and need moving on. Think we know where this all ends.
  7. And yet more 19/20 year olds get lent to us for a bit so they can develop. In you come lads. Thats nice for them and their club. How about the development of Blackburn Rovers? Remember when that used to be the point.
  8. I suppose it’s because we’ve had a lot of 19/20 year old slight midfielders come in over the past few years. I’ll ’give him a chance FFS!’ because what choice do I have, but it’s not what this side is crying out for.
  9. Of course, no sell on value at his age.
  10. ‘All’ on Broughton? No other guilty parties we can think of for this mess?
  11. Tom Brady and Swag, now that’s a combination.
  12. ‘First name on the team sheet’?! Now don’t get me wrong I think he should have stayed as an experienced player in a small, young squad, but some very short memories, he’s been pretty average for a good while.
  13. This is football, players want to play, they can get stale at a club and want a change of scenery, and yes he isn’t a world beater - of course he’s replaceable with another experienced player… problem here, as always, is he won’t be and the downgrade continues.
  14. Every first teamer that can’t get in the side gets loaned out. ‘Competition for places’ is the norm at most clubs, but that’s a financial luxury we can’t afford here - as shown by the fact we are spending months with one left back and one right back.
  15. ‘All future requests’ ’Please Mr Judge can our football club in England be funded for another three months please?’
  16. This club no longer has any aspirations other than being a development academy, it just happens that one of the development teams plays in the senior leagues.… but they have the brass neck to charge £400-£500+ for a ST to watch them.
  17. He’s leaving ‘because he doesn’t fit JDT’s style’? Was that why Buckley randomly went on loan in a tiny squad too? His presser will be interesting.
  18. Of course, but many of those stopped going 5, 10, 12 years ago. Many are lost, for good, as obviously they are well, well out of the habit. And even if they are keeping an eye on results they won’t be manning the barricades if there was a protest next week. I was more referring to the ‘active’ fanbase, I.e those that have a ST or buy a match ticket regularly or from time to time, that is your potential pool of protesters and as as a collective, anti-Venky’s, they ain’t.
  19. ‘Showing balls’ would’ve been consulting with fans before they went on sale, ‘balls’ would’ve been listening to the feedback in the first couple of days and offering an alternative, ‘balls’ isn’t head in the sand arrogance stonewalling impassioned fans who had contacted them, ‘balls’ isn’t a panicked u-turn with less than 48 hours to go when they are looking down the barrel of the club’s worst ever FA Cup crowd. They have embarrassed themselves and the club once again, but yet once again not an ounce of contrition in that statement.
  20. Mogga’s got to go all the way to Birmingham?! Take it Brady is going to lend him his private jet for a few months? (Until he’s sacked and they bring in Lamps).
  21. That meeting the Trust had with him last night just summed him up, a Liverpool FC event going on at the ground of the club he runs and he hasn’t heard a thing about it. Then to top it off nodding sagely that it’s a disgrace that a load of club murals had been just lobbed at the back of a stand (when they should actually have been unceremoniously lobbed in a skip, of course), less than 24 hours later they’d been put on display on the Riverside as planned - he was non the wiser either way. Absolute clown show down there, you’d laugh if it wasn’t so depressing to have that cretin as the club figurehead.
  22. Without even touching on the debacle of the budget and resulting squad this season, off the pitch we’ve seen the fiasco of the closed Blackburn End, the shambles of ‘Digital Day’ and the embarrassment of Liverpool FC nights at the home of Blackburn Rovers. I’d say this has to be the nadir with the club making ridiculous decisions on a seemingly weekly basis, but there’s probably going to be some other nonsense announced in the near future. Where’s the common sense, where’s the accountability? Where’s the humility?
  23. Exactly that. The other day a lad I’m friends with on Facebook shared a memory from NYD 2017 (relegated to L1 five months later) of him on Sky at the Newcastle game that afternoon. I spotted two ‘Venky’s Out’ flags in the screenshot. Imagine unfurling those now and see what reaction you’d get.
  24. It’s not being against protests, go for it. But in reality the fanbase has never been more pro Venky’s than it is right now (as preposterous as that sounds). Try telling the folk around you at Ewood that we need them to sell and see what reaction you get. They’ve long won the hearts and minds of the fanbase, so a big protest just ain’t happening… well maybe against JDT if we lose a few more.
  25. ‘NNN UTC’ banners in the suites for the next Dingle game… That’s a joke BTW Swag/Read if you are reading!
