  1. Indeed, even his coffee club members have now seen the light.
  2. I think a lot of floating fans will have picked Tuesday as their late season game and will unfortunately be giving this a swerve… though two wins and there will be one more Ewood game for them to pick.
  3. Have we heard a single thing from Swag this season (or any ‘board member’)? Now I don’t particularly want to hear anything from the cretin, but considering we have underground owners too it’s a notable wall of silence from ‘the board’.
  4. Having players in the box would help…
  5. Not sure we have bottled it. We are playing fine, but cannot score goals - we have been shafted by January (again). Though then I suppose ‘the club’ has bottled it.
  6. We will stay static, at best. Quite a few will unexpectedly drop off due to months of hardly a Saturday 3pm game, that will be coupled with those that never were going to renew for a plethora of reasons. So we need to hope that there is a big enough churn with new folk coming in to just about tread water. When’s he retiring again?
  7. How come AW didn’t walk straight off the pitch and go home?
  8. Yep it’s correct. £335 to £360 behind the goals. https://www.burnleyfootballclub.com/content/2023-24-early-bird-season-ticket-on-sale-friday With the combination of pretty much every game since the WC being on Sky, still the dearest tickets around here and even DD problems, our club will just be ‘well we did all we can 🤷‍♂️‘ when we limp to another piss poor figure sold by KO.
  9. Can the two JRC threads be merged, Mods?
  10. Err bye then! It’s called having a debate, not ‘let’s all agree with Eddie the Sage’.
  11. Morton wouldn’t get grief from one stray pass if he was running the show like Wharton was, why would he? Morton gets grief because he lacks bravery on the ball, shirks challenges and gives it away on a regular basis.
  12. Yes looking for it, you’ve used one stray pass as a basis of a post to knock him down a peg or two, and yet you are accusing others of going overboard? Yes, he controlled the midfield last night, not for the first time either. (Oh and if football message boards make you ‘despair’ due to their bipolar nature you best stop visiting them!)
  13. Who thinks he’s 10 out of 10 every time? Sounds like you were looking for a pass that went astray in order to post said comment. He will give it away from time to time because he takes risks and is always looking to get on the ball and play forward, that comes with the territory with such players. Morton takes far fewer risks and still gives the ball away on a regular basis. He’s 18 and if you can’t get excited about a Rovers fan already controlling a Championship midfield you might as well give up.
  14. Oh lighten up you precious bugger. 😁
  15. Though maybe don’t call the players and manager bollock-less bottlers if you don’t have the bottle to even sit in the JWU though, ay? 😁
  16. If you ‘can’t’ go, of course you are still a fan. Penwortham is taking about Merce, who didn’t have ‘the bollocks’ to go, despite constantly calling out the team and manager for not having any…
  17. What do you knit? St George’s flag?
  18. We’ve dropped off twice because we don’t/didn’t have the players, simple as that. The buck stops with those above the manager on that score.
  19. An England forum?! What do folk talk about in the other 45 weeks a year?
  20. End of the day it’s a results business, we finish on similar points, a similar league position, then ok give both a ‘B’ if you want. But there is obviously context between a fella with five years in a role, to a fella managing in England for the first time. You are being a bit simplistic.
  21. Seems pretty clear they had a fall out in the run up to the World Cup. That’s football, unfortunately. Certainly an element of JDT cutting his nose off to spite his face. But he’s the boss.
  22. Can’t have it both way Sparks, you keep telling us how we are full of ‘little boys’. Yet expect to be 3rd in the table?
  23. 😁, Feel free to get wound up by the fact some folk come out the woodwork for big games, but it was ever thus. But then folk also like moaning about empty seats, can’t have it both ways.
  24. He had them eating out his hands until his final few weeks.
  25. Every club has ‘part time supporters’, and said part timers will come out for big games. That’s football. Odd thing to get wound up about.
