A contract is a contract whatever your job. He was offered it, he signed it, he was remunerated as per its terms. That doesn’t make him a ****. He’s a football manager under contract as a football manager, why would he go down t’pit? That being said, fans are entitled to expect the best for their club. So him being bang average and the fact he was a miserable twat that talked a load of shite half the time makes him a **** in folks’ eyes, then fair enough (though for me I’m just happy it ran it’s course and we upgraded, he’s really not worth getting so wound up about).

Of course the members aren’t entitled to get in the face of players.

Him getting paid as per the terms of his contract doesn’t make him a **** though, does it? He was entitled to it just like every other contracted person in employment. It’s stuff like that just make some folk on here look completely irrational.

We obviously aren’t going to agree. I think he was a professional doing his best. In the end his best didn’t get us anywhere, but because we have owners that were merely happy for him to see out his contract he went on too long and it got stale. He left, we’ve had an upgrade, we’ve moved on. I just don’t understand the vitriol such a plodder gets on here (only on here), it’s completely out of proportion for a steady eddie like TM.

Manager under contract does job. If that wasn’t deemed good enough then the owners should’ve sacked him. Not his problem they didn’t.
