  1. This guy seems full of great ideas and enthusiasm, get him in: https://www.express.co.uk/expressyourself/34577/Is-this-man-the-real-saviour-of-English-football?int_source=amp_continue_reading&int_medium=amp&int_campaign=continue_reading_button#amp-readmore-target
  2. Crowds are booming at pretty much every level of the English football pyramid… except here. Absolutely embarrassing commercial operation, but unfortunately this is what happens when there is no actual interest from the owners. Who is holding Swag accountable for overseeing the decimation of our ST base? Does anyone at the club even care?
  3. Will we buggery (unless we went up, of course.)
  4. Said as much on the Trust thread, don’t think we’ve heard a thing from him all season… some leader.
  5. With that sales projection, we could well hit another 30+ year low, even worse than the shocking sales post Covid 2021 summer. Takes some doing that, Swag 👏
  6. The heady heights of 9,000 was fun while it lasted…
  7. That post Pete is exactly why I’d be amazed if we even tread water in sales this summer.
  8. As it’s the same folk who think the ‘future of fandom is NFTs’ I am going to say yes.
  9. Does he buggery get ‘dogs abuse’. 😁 This is one of the most civil football forums you’ll find anywhere.
  10. Hearing a lot re DD rejections. Seems far more than usual. Is the club aware of this? As it is yet another barrier to any kind of decent numbers being sold.
  11. I suppose if you don’t think TK is any better, then fair enough. Whereas I very much do, certainly as a shot stopper and he commands his box better too in my view (though weaker with the ball at his feet) so he’d have been back in the side probably post Huddersfield for me. If he goes as a result in the summer, I wouldn’t be too impressed that we’d ended up with such an average keeper as our number 1.
  12. Game of opinions, but I honestly don’t think he’s anywhere near TK, well, apart from probably being more comfortable with the ball at his feet - but I suppose that’s as important as saves these days…
  13. You don’t think TK is a better goalkeeper than Pears?
  14. The club needs root and branch reform on the commercial side. It’s lazy, amateurish and full of folk with no feeling for the fanbase and how to engage them - a reflection of its chief. They’ve finally cottoned on on the football side, we can only hope the commercial side eventually follows. But we need a new broom first.
  15. That’s the rub, if you make them cheaper plenty of folk will bite the bullet and buy one even if they know they’ll miss a few. That’s certainly what PNE and Bolton will be finding. However, when you are being asked to pay up to £500 you need to think hard if you believe you’ll miss a load of night games etc.
  16. Come off it Longers, of course this season has been more prickly, but generally I’d imagine a fan of an arch rival wouldn’t get the welcome you get on here on any other forum - a Rovers fan on UTC certainly wouldn’t.
  17. We are being pushed out of Hyndburn schools too by a club that was in non league not that long ago. The club has wilfully thrown away its footprint outside BwD (just as more and more of our fanbase leave the borough).
  18. Groundhog Day though, isn’t it. We’ve had these conversations year in year out. It’s painfully obvious what needs to happen, but as the hierarchy isn’t interested you might as well find the nearest wall to bang your head on…
  19. Didn’t he come up with some daft ‘family season ticket’ the other year that ended up costing exactly the same as buying individual STs… and it was then quietly dropped.
  20. I presume they’ll extend the ‘early bird’, they usually do when they start panicking about non renewals…
  21. Somewhere full of posh Scousers. Or ‘wools’ as proper Scousers call them…
  22. To increase sales by nearly a 1,000 after this ridiculous fixture upheaval would be very surprising. (Not that 10k is owt to crow about anyway). Thought possible if we had a heroic failure in the play offs garnering some good will and momentum in the fanbase (actual promotion a different issue entirely).
  23. Shearer, Newell, Flowers (and Kenny) all lived down the road from each other in Southport, didn’t they, and were big pals.
  24. The club won’t countenance a ‘day’ ticket, ‘18 game ticket’ etc because they know it’s only having c9k ST holders that is ensuring we have any kind of crowd /sales for midweek games (and that’s with a load of holders swerving it, but they still count towards the ‘crowd’ and revenue regardless). If it was offered I’d imagine we’d sell an embarrassingly low number of 23 game STs.
