  1. Average keeper putting in average performances, good job we have an actual good keeper to put back… oh.
  2. No, I don’t think ‘the club’ as a whole is particularly arsed either way. Very strange outfit is modern day BRFC.
  3. That would be £436 here (£489 in six days time).
  4. Nope not from me. I’ve been more than fair with him, as have most fans. We’ve known for months that he’s off but he was still putting a shift in and that was fine with me - it’s only since Easter that his drop off has been noticeable, surprised you’ve not spotted it. And there is more to ‘effort’ that just running about. It’s getting into positions, it’s showing for your team mates. Hugging the touchline for 90 minutes when the side desperately needs goals, he’s hiding and going through the motions until he buggers off. Which isn’t surprising we saw the same with Rothwell, human nature with a big move on the horizon, it’s up to the manager to take them out the side.
  5. What made me laugh is the excuse they’ve given for ignoring the poor lad. ’We were on our activation walk’ (through a hotel lobby to a waiting coach 🙄. Modern Football ay, example #4562).
  6. You honestly think he’s working as hard as he was pre World Cup?
  7. Some greatest hits there. 😁 Never change, Vinners (well he never does).
  8. Hanlon's Razor is an adage or rule of thumb that states, "Never attribute to malice what is adequately explained by incompetence ."
  9. Well you aren’t going to please everyone, the manager has to switch it up when you haven’t won in nine in the run-in, but I’m not sure there would have been much in the way of rumblings with dropping BBD, Booth. He’s been phoning it in and the fans have had enough. Alas, JDT doesn’t have the balls to drop him, because he’s a ‘goalscorer’ in a team without them… only problem is he’s scored *two* in open play since November.
  10. Not sure folk would’ve had much issue with BBD being on the bench in favour of say Thomas. The crowd has long given up on him.
  11. I don’t think many at Ewood want him to go, but I doubt many would be particularly arsed if he did.
  12. Not sure I follow Booth. JDT goes and the ones that weren’t fussed about him anyway (presuming they’ve even renewed) are going to go after the club for it next season? They won’t, they’ll either have stopped bothering going by then or will just go after the new fella too whilst reminiscing about St Anthony of Yarm (like a load around me are doing already). ‘The club’ will get away with it scot free.
  13. Flak from who? The 6k rump of ST holders next season?
  14. Points wise. And we could well finish lower in the table. End of the day we finish 6th then of course it’s an improvement. 8th/9th on the same points as last season, obviously it isn’t, very fine margins in such a tight league - but there are caveats; JDTs first season etc.
  15. Indeed, plus the club won’t get much flack if he does go as he isn’t as remotely popular with fans as TM from what I can see on a match day.
  16. Points wise we obviously haven’t improved and it’s a results business. But of course should a manager in year one in English football be judged on exactly the same parameters as a bloke in year 5 at the same club? So going forward is the team/club in a better position overall than it was 12 months ago? Is it now primed to move forward? I think that is debatable and will only come clear when we see who comes and goes over the summer, manager included.
  17. Would solely depend on what happened in the January window. Everybody else up there strengthens, we don’t, end of story.
  18. It’s not ‘good to watch’ though, is it. And I’m someone who couldn’t care less about aesthetics as long as we get the win, but as we haven’t done that for nine games either (five league goals since that last win against Reading in mid March too), it’s pretty clear that this isn’t an ‘entertaining’ side.
  19. And of course he will know that, but who cares what platitudes he feeds the media? I stopped listening to manager interviews years ago, mean nothing.
  20. So he should be throwing a young side under the bus in front of the media instead with a game to go?
  21. ‘Reason’ being Hibs couldn’t meet his wage demands as widely reported at the time. Which isn’t surprising as the non Old Firm have League 1 incomes.
  22. I’m pro JDT, but come on Exiled. What ‘great’ stuff are we playing, especially at Ewood? We are solid, yes. But we hardly create a chance.
  23. Travis and Buckley definitely haven’t come on ‘leaps and bounds’ this season.
